It was such a slapdash production. It was as if MAPPA was forced to make a 2nd season when they didn't want to, or were given very little time.

The movie was liked by literally everyone that saw it.

It was done by a completely different staff than the first season.
They probably were busy with the movie.

Guren no Tsuki was just exceptionally bad and lazy compared to all their other productions, not just Garo. Days isn't exactly high budget and is obviously a MAPPA B-team, but it's more put together than that mess of a show.

Are there any spoilers for the movie out? I want to know if Leon settled with Christmas Cake.

Days is better produced than HnK so far as well. It has a good general impression because the highlights (especially 18, 19, and the last 2) were better than the best episodes of most high profile shows, but the production overall was pretty weak, and ep 2 was far worse than anything Days has had so far.
Whether or not the highlights will be good, we'll have to find out when they actually play fucking football for once.
