Rick and Morty is one of the best cartoons on TV at the moment, but that's not saying much.
I think hating Rick and Morty is the new hating Nickleback, an easy target people will bandwagon on to signal to each other how cool and smart they are (I am cooler and smarter). They pull a lot of gay shit on the show but its pretty much Family Guy 2. There are a reasonable amount of funny parts.

I watched the 3 seasons, I enjoyed it, I'll watch season 4 when it comes.
I like the show's (multi)universe and the space/portal travel allows for very creative stuff. It's nice as well to see there is plot and character development, and the episodes are not self contained, there are story arcs and I'm hyped for the inevitable conclusion to the Evil Morty storyline, for example (and you have Tammy and Cyberbird plotlines as well)... desu half the shit you guys take as cringey I take it as a self aware mockery of other shows, "IM PICKLE RIIIICK" is like a lot of the shitposting: ironic.
+ the mix of 2/3 movies/series/books in each episode is more often than not done in a cool way, and allows them to pack a lot for entertaining moments in every episode without them having to lose time "explaining" some... plot mechanics to us since we get what they're referencing right away.
It's hard to express myself at this level in english ("done in a cool way" is a very simplified way of putting it) but Anyway those are my 2 cents. I recommend you to watch this show.

First two seasons are good with bad episodes mixed in. Watch the first two seasons consider the ending of season 2 the canon ending.
Season 3 they brought in diversity writers that neither understood nor cared about what made the show good. Season 3 is a soap opera without sympathetic characters.

I had quite a few laughs and look forward to new episodes. I can't stand the fanbase that's forming around it and the antifanbase is almost as annoying.

Easily one of the weakest eps of the season. Morty's minblowers was probably my fave.
Definitely the best one. My favorite gag of the entire season was the Robot Morty gaining self-awareness but it was in a super mediocre episode.
