interesting.

From what I've heard, it's shit. Let's see.

...

>Main character is a girl

I can count the number of Shonen Jump series that do this on one hand.

...

Though she looks a hell of a lot like a boy

More WSJ series should do that in any case.

...

Is that the same hand you use to masturbate to them?

...

Of course they should.

I guess Japanese boys are afraid of cooties.

...

Japanese impressions are actually really positive. If you search it on Twitter the suggested words are "omoshiroi" and "very un-Jump-like".

>Arale
>Jolyne Kujo
>Medaka Kurokami

Eh. Two out of three.

...

>"very un-Jump-like"

Cancelled in three volumes, then. Got it.

...

Kiruko-san,is an axed manga but still count

...

What's up with those heads tho?

She technically wasn't the main character, it was that whatever police officer. She was just the title character.

Forgot about that. Then again, I'm sure everyone else did too.

Japanese would have to procreate for their to be orphans.

In B4 Something terrible happens.

It gonna fail so hard, also spoilers for this chaper as to why.

Girls just don't sell and as shitty as it is and the author so far has done a good job but some people won't buy on that. The whole idea of human farm is pretty edgy and I just don't think enough people are gonna buy it, because it isn't interesting edgy (death note) it is dark edgy. Now that other 2 could be if ignored if it didn't limited direction, the escaping the orphanage will be interesting but what comes after is gonna be hard to go forward unless they become a center of a group fighting which doesn't seem like this writers forte. I would enjoy if it was more horror as jump has few of them.

Yea but the whole Human tests and Human meat ideas aren't bad but I can see it anking

On that note, Medaka was a title character as well, while that other guy was the protagonist.

And yes, I know Nisio played around with that idea.

How the shit did his face get so messy? He's eating BREAD

...

It may survive due to Jump's adding a new online option for the rankings. People that buy the online version of Jump now may also vote without sending in the postcard. People say that's the reason manga geared for an older-ish audience like Ghost Tits or Samon survive. This is getting really good buzz in Japanese social media.

shit, rapidshare captcha!

Here comes the edge

...

...

Here's the other thread in case anyone gives a fuck about some reactions to Niggastream's version.

...

If you search Twitter or 2ch for 約束のネバーランド or ジャンプ 新連載 impressions seem overwhelmingly positive. The consensus seems to be that it's pretty "omoshiroi" and that the setting could get interesting and exciting. The other thing most people agree on is that it doesn't feel like a Jump manga at all, people mention that it feels like something from Shounen Magazine, Gangan or even Afternoon. The main reference point for Japanese people seems to be "Never Let Me Go".

...

>"Never Let Me Go".
Wut?

Norman's head is too damn big.

...

>overwhelmingly positive
Didn't they say the same stuff about Fire Punch?

Figured it was this one, since she sucked at the test.

...

...

Well, it's first chapter was great and then it went downhill fast.

...

>went downhill
>not enjoying the living shit out of this ride
Cmon.

...

...

...

...

...

>it isn't cool edgy (death note, neuro) it is dark edgy.
ftfy and you're right

uh ohhh

I'm surprised they talk like normal and not with a special font.

AYY

Reminds me of a certain arc of 7 Seeds.

...

She was too pure for this world.

that's fucked up

Mmmm. Delicious.

...

hm

Monsters are really well designed.

Grass fed, free range

That's always delicious.

Once you get to know them they're probably just ordinary blokes.

...

...

wow, this is great

Yes. 12 years old. Ripe for eating.

...

...

...

...

...

Smart kids are tastier to them? Seems like a bit of a waste though.

YEHRITE

Anyway, I don't like it.

I'm not saying it's bad, this is just not my kind of series. I don't like horror.

That said the art is good and you can see a little bit of foreshadowing in how the series might go with the game of tag. This series really shouldn't be in jump. Should be in some older-focused monthly magazine or something.

Takuan and Batsu's Daily Demon Diary

Same. It's one of those series that will pick up in the next chapters.

DEATH
FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG

>While working on a Deku Balloon
What

yeah probably

I'm considering buying Shonen Jump (from Viz) now that all these big series are over. It's a good jumping-on point.

>un-Jump-like
Really? First chapter has a setup very much like Owari no Seraph, and I feel like there's a Hunter x Hunter influence in the layouts. Kids fighting monsters is pretty standard.

Rather than horror, I think this will be more of a suspense/thriller kinda thing. It will depend on if the writer can come up with clever and convincing ways for the kids to outsmart the demons.

Watch it, the bastards at viz rarely add new series for real

That is one hell of an ahoge

>Owari no Seraph
That's Shuueisha but not WSJ

Reminds me of Duck from Princess Tutu.
