tamako love story was good
No, it's mediocre shit
I like the flower shop lady.
>season 2 never
this
the film was good, the series barely qualifies as a decent slice of life
there is a limit to which you can take the 'nothing happens' idea
>lady
>voiced by Ono Daisuke
>lady
>kyoani
>underrated
good voice for a lady, I must say.
She has a dick.
says who.
I want to rub her dick with my dick
No.
It wasnt bad, but wasnt really anything special.
At least it paved a way for that movie which was great.
I was a little disappointed by it but I was very sleep deprived when I watched it so maybe I wasn't paying enough attention
>kyoani sameface
put it in the trash
DAAAAAKEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOoooo
It was nice but boring at times. Love Story is fantastic though. de lustadt summer.
Pretty much this. I love SoL and laid back series but Tamako Market was just dull.
It would have been a timeless masterpiece if they'd given us more Shiori.
It was better than most 'SoL and laid back' anime to be quite honest.
it was mediocre, like every other kyoanus series
The first show I dropped lmao
>posting this thread at peak shitposting time
Tamako Market is one of my favorites. But all you're going to get here right now is shitposting. Especially how the airing shows right now attract one of the worse bunch. Try again in a few months.
The worldbuilding was masterfully done. Yamada truly is the best director KyoAni has.
The bird ruined it.
The nigger ruined it.
...
I want to penetrate her in a right angle.
>masterful worldbuilding
>contemporary setting + a talking bird
As expected from kyoanus lickers.
>It's based in real life so worldbuilding doesn't count.
It gave us two great girls with black tights. "Underrated" is an understatement.
>Not knowing what world building is.
I stopped when the bird showed up
Enlighten me.
wHY does kyoani WALWAYS put pantyhose on unsexualizable girls???????????
KyoAni's main goal when making characters isn't so that people can sexualize them.
>yui
>unsexualizable
what the fuck are you talking about nigger?
you heard me you piece of shit
ooooo look at me i sexualize keions like a degenerate fucking cunt and i said 'nigger' that means im cool
I remember when I watched it my first thought was "it's nice but I feel like they missed an opportunity here."
The movie was amazing though.
>muh anime purity
>muh n word
stay made bitchboi
how about you go back to whatever meme fucking board you came from with your muhs and your k-on porn you failure of a human being
Remove bird
This thread is shit.
quick post lesbian midoris
>funny reaction pic
how about you get better memes you degenerate cuckwhore trash?
...
It really is, It gave such a relaxing feeling when watching it.
I'd have taken S2 over a movie but whatever, Th OP is so fucking catchy.
Kanna a perfect.
Good anime
Film was shit
It was a kino not a film
>>>/reddit/
I want to rub every inch of those legs.
>cuck
just leave now
Wow this thread is shit
Anyway, liked the anime, loved the movie. Tamako didn't really feel like a real character in the series.
The part where the shop was empty and Tamako made me realize she had a character.
I want to fuck a manko
>manko
>manå
>manchild
Oh I agree. Tamako Market is a masterpiece (as is the movie). The characters are very well characterized, the interactions are genuinely heartwarming, and the atmosphere is easy to get lost in.
>tfw about the watch Tamako Market for the third time
assemble kannafags
Midori deserves love.
>but the movie was good
The movie just felt like pandering in response to audience outcry:
>More information about Tamako's mother
>Pursuing Mochizo and Tamako's romance
>More Mochizo and Midori conflict
None of these were particularly big aspects of the series and added unnecessary drama to a show that was otherwise relaxing, drama that the bland as fuck Tamako couldn't support. Tamako being a catalyst for SoL boredom made sense as she was kind of a blank slate and simple, using her as a device for romantic drama didn't work as she lacked any distinctive character besides being dense and liking/making some Nip food. Taking out the bird was alright and the visuals are lovely, otherwise I don't get the hype.
Kannafag#1 reporting.
But Kanna deserves more love.
It's my favorite modern KyoAni series. The TV series in particular really stands out to me as high quality SoL. The movie is great too, but I always see people willing to praise that.
>Design one of the most beautiful anime girls ever
>Give her close to zero screen time
Why, Kyoani?
>Midori deserves love
I agree, she was my favorite character.
Series was good. Had that K-On! feel, but it lacked focus and needed to be longer if it wanted to have any sort of lasting impact. Episode 9 was pure gold.
The movie's an instant classic, I'd say one of the very best this side of 2010. Certainly my favourite; I've seen it five times now, and it never loses its charm.
>it lacked focus
You mean it didn't focus on a single big plot point like the movie?
It executed its themes perfectly.
"Heartwarming interactions", "Everybody loves somebody", and "a comfortable show" is what they were aiming for, and they achieved it.
More like I'd have rather seen more out into developing the relationship between Tamako and the other marketfolk. I believe I read somewhere that that was intended, like Market was about Tamako in relation to her surroundings and Love Story was about her as a character. Death of the author and all that, sure, but I'd really have liked to learn more about the coffee shop guy or the flower "girl" instead of Dera. I don't hate the islanders like some do, but I won't deny they felt kinda tacked on to what made the series nice in the first place.
That's probably just time constraints. We got a lot of Marketfolk development in the latter half of the TV series, such as Afro guy loving the bathhouse owner's daughter (who got married to someone else) and the haunted house episode.
I feel like the islander subplot was set up for the movie. Tamako being afraid of change because of her mother's death was what the movie centered around in, and the subplot showed how content she is with things as is.
Given how the movie was the conclusion to the series, its very possible Tamako's character was left open in the series on purpose.
literally the other way around.
Yeah, like I said, needed to be longer. I usually have trouble fully backing a one cour series if it flirts with too much at once. It had some great episodes and the whole show was really charming but the feeling of "I'd have liked more of this" or "it could have been better" just don't shake off that easy, y'know?
shes just discount azusa with glasses bruh
If anything, its slightly overrated. It has few good episodes, but thats it. The whole plot with the bird and prince is complete shit and show in general is snoozefest.
Movie is great, and TV has some great moments - but TV overall, the weakest KyoAni work despite being exceptionaly cute and well animated.
find a cuter pair of sisters than this
What will it change? Even during times it aired no one would insist it were actually good. Only Movie is considered decent.
>best director
Thats Ishidate, thats why she got the VEG too.
If anything with Tamako Yamada shown that she didnt grow up yet to fully original anime project.
The show would have been perfect if there was more Choi. More Choi and Prince.
Movie was great though. Very cute.
>So our dad also fell in love with someone
>And that someone happened to be our mom
>Oh, right.
Anko is too pure for this world.
The cutest
I'm not saying Ishidate is bad or anything but Yamada was honoured at the Japan Media Arts festival for Love Story, and Koe no Katachi is a MUCH higher profile project than VEG.
It wasn't a snoozefest. Tamako is definitely better than other comfy shows that have been released recently like NNB, GochiUsa, Flying Witch, Tamayura, Sketchbook, Natsu-iru, Acchi Kocchi, or any season of Minami Ke that isn't S1.
Also in terms of animation, it's probably KyoAni's lowest budgeted show.
Minami-ke S4 is trying hard
If anything with Tamako Yamada shown that she didn't grow up yet to fully original anime project
I remember an article or an interview, I don't know, saying that she wanted to do a lot more with the anime but for a tv format she had to go with the idea that we saw. She was fully in charge with the movie and you can actually see the difference.
>Ishidate
>she
Kanna carry the show to be honest.
NNB and Gochiusa were actually really good. better than everything else in that list
I say NNB is in the level of Tamako Market for me, but GochiUsa was OK, and the S2 was just more of the same but actually boring.
>No architecture anime with Kanna
WHY KYOANI
>S2 was just more of the same but actually boring.
I couldn't disagree more, but I respect your opinion
Criticisms are welcome to any show. Even I think it isn't that good despite being my favorite. Tamako Market, however, is one of those unpopular anime threads that barely get replies. Shitposting is barely there because of how dead it is, so you don't get the I'm pretending to be retarded posts or u mad bro posts that this thread has. I also partly blame how the OP said underrated though. What a recipe for disaster.
Tamako Market was actually very popular on Nico a while back for some reason, don't know if still is.
What carried the show for me was the involvement of the district market characters. You don't often see a group of characters that have different age groups. I also have the unpopular opinion of liking Dera. The only person I hated in the show is the prince but he brought upon an arc that expresses Tamako as a character despite how retarded it was.
She's way more gorgeous than Azusa.
I still don't understand how anyone can actually like the bird. I can understand tolerating him in order to enjoy the actually good parts of the show, but I don't understand why you would like him.
>Not sexualizing KyoAni girls
Your loss
I liked the designs in TM, but thought Shiori was very bland. Didn't help that her character was suckish as well.
Sure, he can do a lot of outrageous actions that'll put off people and he's a tad bit narcissistic. But he has good intentions, displayed companionship and concern towards the Tamako's father and displayed rare times where he was a mentor figure to some of the girls.
