I don't think so. Teru was also praised by his parents, meanwhile Mob's ignored by his. Additionally, Teru's spost to be hot, while Mob's plain (I mean, I think Mob's 10/10, but that's just my opinion), so that'd make a difference too. Tsubomi-chan was more like, "Waaaah Mob, that's amazing!" whereas with Teru, it seemed like everyone wanted him to help them. "Teru, we can't beat this guy! Can you do it?" So I think even if Tsubomi wasn't mean to him, Mob wouldn't turn out like Teru.

Did Crunchyroll fuck up on this translation?

In the manga, Teru says: "A star is not shining because it's being showered in light, but because he who emits light is a star"

in the anime, he basically says the exact opposite, wherein he says "the star doesn't get to bask in the spotlight because he is a star. The star gets to be the star BECAUSE he basks in the spotlight."

Am I interpreting this wrong or did either crunchy or the manga translation fuck this up?

crunchy's translation makes literally 0 sense, the manga's interpretation is more easy to understand.

Seems like the manga is referring to the celestial body star, while the anime is talking about celebrities. I can sort of understand what they were going for, but I doubt it's an accurate translation

You are acutally right, the manga version is better. But i dont speak or read Japanese so i dont know which of the two is the right translation from ONEs manga. Maybe the Anime changed the dialogue. Could ask UK if he has time to look at it.

I just relistened to this part and Teru actually does say "suta" and "spotoraito" so it seems CR got it right. Could be they altered the dialogue for the anime

Are you a sakuga fan? If not, then dont worry. The line work was thin and the animation was dynamic. Probably the webgen going at it and some kameda shots. The water scene particularly looked interesting, cant wait to see that.

except the thin lines are what worries me, I'm pretty sure the model that BONES established for Mob Psycho was messy thick lines, but episode 6 seems to have a lack of that, or rather it's not as pronounced.

The animation is fine, but the linework is sticking out like a sore thumb from the previews.

They're experimenting with something new every episide, so maybe it's something Naruto vs Pain fight-ish thing.

I dont know for certain but i had Naruto vs Sasuke vibes in the preview, so it might be reminiscent of Wakabayashi Atsushi and Norio Matsumoto the dudes who did that and the pain fight too. I look really forward to it.
