I haven't ever watched Berserk. Now there is this new second series. Should I watch both or only the first or second?

I just can't deal with the low effort drawings. I can't see a thing. At least with anime the color helps. Had the same problem with Bleach after the shit anime ended and I wanted to read the shitty last story arc.

then in my personal opinion either watch the original 90s series or the movies first. It honestly doesn't matter which they both have their plusses and minuses and it ultimately up to personal taste. I think the series has a better atmosphere but I can see why others would prefer the movies.

What ever you do don't watch the currently airing series you won't understand anything that's actually happening without the knowledge that either the manga or the anime provides

Listen up faggot, no one would give a fuck about the latest garbage berserk adaptation, or the shitty movies if not for the fact that they're fascinatingly awful compared to the source material. The 1997 version is probably worth a watch on its own but thats it. Read the manga, I had never read manga before and berserk became the greatest story I ever knew.

TLDR: No one would would care about berserk the show without berserk the manga. Show's shit, read the manga.

The new anime blows... aboslutely, don't watch it.. NEVER.

You can watch the old anime and the movies, but I wouldn't recommend it, they pale in comparison to the manga.

I'm not a big fan of skipping things. It looks good enough graphically to continue reading and so far the "only one I care about is me" attitude is pretty standard. But I take it gets better after that.
