While we're circlejerking Rukia, I feel like it wouldn't be COMPLETELY delusional to have a sequel spinoff story about her life as a captain. Considering the fact that she is arguably one of, if not the most popular character of Bleach (she beat Hitsugaya in the most recent popularity poll in a data booklet).

Like, it's actually ridiculous how popular she is and how little screentime Kubo gives her in the second half of Bleach

At first I thought it was silly that he survived hundreds of years with his illness yet just happened to die in the 10 year timeskip. Then I remembered he was part God Hand, so he managed to survive ten years without an integral part of him body. What a boss.

I think he wanted Orihime to do something big in the final arc to justify her being there and that sort of strayed away from Rukia. Plus, with the enemies they were up against, what could Rukia have done? Her Bankai is a glass cannon and prevented her from jumping into the more hotblooded situations.

Now if Ichigo will become a Captain as well.

He didn't, Haschwalt has the Almighty when Yhwach is sleeping, so he saw a future in which Yhwach died to Zangetsu's shikai form, Yhwach saw that in his dream, but he thought it was just that, a dream.

If anything, the implication is that Lord Toofsy tried to help him, but Yhwach was too stupid to realize it.

IchiRuki was the cutest couple but Ichigo kinda turned out to be a loser in the end. Honestly the finale would have been a lot stronger if not for that one last additional DESPAIR moment after getting his bankai broken, he just turned into such a pussy. I can see Rukia getting tired with him now.
