Youmu are born out of strong emotion. Akkey had a bit of Mirai's blood/soul inside him from when she purged KnK and took it into herself. KnK is enormously powerful. When Akkey took KnK back into himself and Mirai died, the huge power of KnK combined with Akkey's strong emotions and Mirai's soul blood brought her back as a Youmu.

People saying it was shit writing just weren't paying attention to the rest of the show.

*The ring was like a youmu stone, and is the part of her soul from which she was brought back, just like how Akkey got back some of KnK when he absorbed the fragment in the second last episode.
