Quick little story from a guy who trained ANA (don't remember if they were special forces or what they were supposed to be). Spent a full training day with training them on room entries. Crawl-walk-run method, systematically explained, focus on method and details. ANAs indicate they understand, do the drills under supervision in phases just fine.

First time through by themselves after hours of drilling it, ok now it's your turn do what you were trained guys. Looks like a chinese fire drill, eyes closed, out of order, spraying ammo around the room killing the dummy hostages yelling aloha snackbar. Instructor blows the whistle, calls a ceasefire. What are you guys doing?

It takes discipline to make sure you are clean and pray five times a day including at the time of dawn. It takes discipline to fast 30 sunrises to sunsets with no food, water, or sex.

It teaches respect for the poor and your fellow man in that donation is required for those less fortunate.
