I think the twist will be that Ichigo ended up absorbing all of Yhwach's powers as well as the Spirit King's, so he was reborn as a God and used his powers to restabalize each of the realms after Yhwach's damage.

But Ichigo is too powerful now and can never return to the Human realm and can't really interact with Shinigami either.

So now he's forced to live as a wandering God of Death like Casshern at the end of Casshern Sins as well as living as a constant protector of the realms.

Maybe he took Yhwach's powers of manipulating the future and uses it to eliminate any potential threats to the Human world and Soul Society before they even happen, kinda like a mix of Madoka being a goddess at the end of Madoka Magica as well as Archer's status as a Counter Guardian in Fate/stay night, which would explain the 10 years of peace.

What would you guys think if this ends up happening?

He can't. He's dead. However, he already changed the future before that to kill them in their moment of greatest happiness, so a bit of him is popping up to do it. Ichigo will deal with it effortlessly next chapter.

It's like the end of Die Hard when the toughest bad guy isn't dead and comes after Bruce Willis but Carl Winslow shoots him.

Ukitake was already dead. It would have taken an immense asspull for him to survive having Mimihagi, the only thing keeping him alive for centuries, torn out of him.

He got absorbed by a stronger god, though. Normally I'd be extremely skeptical but Kubo ran out of time to show anything more.

That didn't happen to Aizen. He's clearly alive. Only Mimihagi died and it took him like 10 chapters to be absorbed. Aizen is arguably more powerful and the only immortal character in Bleach.

As someone who dropped Bleach and Naruto around 2007, I read the last couple of Naruto chapters back when it was ending and kind of got the gist of what happened and what I missed. But after going through the most recent Bleach chapters I have literally no idea what I'm reading.

Lisa and Iba could have had Bankai mastered before, since we barely saw them fight. Iba in particular seems like a very new captain.

Isane having Bankai mastered is the hardest to believe. But there was no other choice besides introducing a brand new character or leaving the 4th captainless (or Hanatarou, lel).

Nah, I can almost guarantee that it's Aizen that becomes the new soul king.
I just suspect that Ichigo forgives Aizen and basically lets him go, since Aizen now knows that without the soul king, everything does fall apart.
