Quebec /polacks?

I'm from southern Louisiana, I'm descended from you, I speak your language, what are your political stances? We're very liberal here, what about your province?

Sup Forumsacks*

I apparently can't spell today.

>South Louisiana
>Cajun
>Quebec
Nova Scotia/Acadie is our ancestor. Quebec is the weird uncle with delicious poutine.
Also,
>liberal
Outside of New Orleans and Baton Rouge we're extremely conservative I don't know what the hell you're talking about

the quebecois are the niggers of canada

>we're extremely conservative

In our behavior, not in our political stances. We by and large have no interest in social issues, we're quite liberal compared to the rest of the country .... actually, fuck that, compared to the rest of the state.

They get enormous amounts of money from the parts of canada where people actually want to work, then throw a shitfit any time they don't get their way.
They are the most entitled, lazy people in the country, and that's with some stiff competition.

Then why do they scream for independence? Quebec has a strong economy, they could do quite well on their own.

Wait a second...
Your ID...
>ogev0Lsu
>Lsu
oh shit

can you really blame them for being lazy when the provincial government basically incentivizes being a welfare leech and punishing success?

True and Quebec is very socialist and anti-Anglo

>strong economy
It looks that way until you look deeper into it. They have a few big companies they like to show off, but in reality those companies are heavily subsidized and repeatedly bailed out (Bombardier).
I honestly believe that the average Quebec resident is so ignorant and dumb of how fucking good they have it that they think seperating would be better. They have no idea of how fucked they'd actually be.

>Quebec separates
>economy goes to shit because subsidies of key industry was only possible through equalization payments
>hydro projects are now abandoned as first nations in northern Quebec choose to remain a part of Canada
>Brain drain of skilled labour to Ontartio & Western Canada causes further stagnation
>Haitian refugees still pouring in by the thousands, except border security would be non-existent due to lack of funding
It would be pretty glorious to witness

If quebec separates Canada would be forced to negotiate a trade deal (and pray Quebec keeps using the same currency) unless they intent on losing 25% of their economy and watching the already miserable CAN$ crash.

If Quebec was a liability they wouldn't fight tooth and nail to stop them from leaving.

LOL I have nothing to do with LSU, I was born and raised in Point de Lyon, I spoke French as my mother language

I'm 32 years old now and work in real estate, I've traveled the country and lived my own life, I was never a "coonass" who stayed around town until he died.

From my experience, yes, we are quite liberal compared to the rest of the country which I've personally traveled.

We should have finished the job in 1812

Montréal is super liberal, everywhere else is conservative and anti-Muslim.

I would fucking love to see it

Also, the corruption of all levels of government is fucking unbelievable. The fucking ex mayor of Montreal was being bribed, ALL infrastructure projects were full of corruption, and they had a big show "trial" that accomplished next to nothing. Quebec is a paradise for organized crime of all kinds.

If they left it there would certainly be inconveniences but the country would be much better off in the long run. I would argue they'd fight just as hard if Nunavut tried to separate, despite it being much less valuable. No PM or government wanted the tag of the guy who let the country break up

i like how little time it takes to trigger dumbfuck albertans

Socially conservative maybe, but most rural parts of Canada (and most places honestly) are socialist when it comes to economics. The dairy farm lobby in Canada has been super effective at keeping a communist-style stranglehold on that sector of the economy for decades now.

tell your scum diaspora to stop voting lieberals in

we were all new france at some point until the eternal anglo came along and ruined it all

>a couple thousand criminal farm-laborers and fur trappers fucking natives
An ideal society indeed

see? the eternal anglo detests difference

also lol where did you get the criminal thing from

It was the Acadians that got shipped to Louisaina. They are not the same as the Quebekikes. Funny fact about them though is that genetically they aren't french at all. They have mixed spanish/english ancestry (guess where they met). Most of them would be insulted to hear about this though because they are some of the most proud people you will ever meet. When you go into Acadian communities you see their flag everywhere, and they speak a very special kind of French that makes Quebocois french sound Parisian.

do NOT insult acadians

with what you've done to them, it's a wonder they speak anything but english at all

The term "Cajun" is in fact a bastardization of "Acadian" by southerners.

Look, that just simply isn't fair. I'm from southern Louisiana, we are basically our own people, we don't identify as anything other than "cajun" and we say that we speak "cajun", we have been separated from France and northern Canada for over 500 years.

I don't feel like a Frenchman is my kin just like you don't feel like an Englishman is your kin.

We kept our language, our culture, and our faith, and you English weren't exactly kind to us which only made us fight against you with a determined resolve.

Yes, our language is dying here, you are winning the war, but is the absolute worst thing we do to you English? When you irritate us, we say "maudit les anglais" "goddamn the English" and when we're speaking in private, we refer to you as "tete carre" (Square heads)

We never oppressed you, we actually never wanted anything to do with you, we only wanted to be left alone. Ironically, it only made our will to keep our language and culture stronger.

How did I insult Acadians? I grew up around them and know more about their history than I do my own.

>we refer to you as "tete carre" (Square heads)
we do that too! keep on existing please

>Funny fact about them though is that genetically they aren't french at all

I barely have any French blood in me at all. My mother's parents were fully French, but I carry a German family name from my father and I'm very pale-skinned.

When foreigners settled here from Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Germany, ect, they learned French and married native cajun women.

We are "French" only in our language, we don't identify with French people at all. They are strangers to us just as a man from London would be a stranger in Alberta. We may speak the same language, but we have nothing to do with each other.

The closest relatives we have are the Quebecois which is why I was curious about them to begin with.

Do any people in Louisiana even speak french?

It actually wouldn't be all that bad. Both countries would be better off imo.

You have obviously never been there. You must be a nigger too. The province is beautiful, clean, catholic, and filled with with whites. It is the only province I don't mind driving to. The people in Quebec have culture and are kind. Montreal is a different story. Old Quebec is beautiful.

Of course we speak French, but it's mostly in private among ourselves. We rarely speak it in public unless there's something which we absolutely cannot express in English.

I'm in my thirties and I remember speaking French around strangers twice in my entire life. Once was with a very old man from Lafayette who could barely string a sentence together in English, so I had to help him, and the other was with a man and woman from France. They made some comment about how bizarre my accent was and I said "Bien, c'est quoi jetais eleve avec" (Well, it's what I raised with) and they looked at me like I was from fucking Mars. French people understand us, but pretend like we're retards trying to imitate their language, it's very irritating.
