OP, do you want a serious answer? If you are using a computer manufactured with parts made after about 1996, you are fucked. If you are plugged into the electrical grid you are fucked. There is no privacy any more. If you want to go off the grid, you have to go off the grid. That means no phone, no internet, no electricity that you don't generate yourself. That's how you beat them.
It's really less a question of "how do I get maximum privacy online" than it is "how can I hide my activity in general?" Are you targeted? Are people actively looking for you? Are you doing things for which people might actively be looking for you? Then get away from anything electronic. At best, that will make you quite difficult to track.

As far as I know it's essentially impossible to be totally anonymous, but if I had to try and had the technical ability, I would run a virtual machine on a linux distro and connect to the internet with tor on a burner machine on public wifi.
The algorithms are so sophisticated now that they don't even need cookies to track you, the software learns who you are based on your browser signature and the websites you visit. Over time, they can figure out who you are just based on the sites you go to, even if you are using a different vpn for example.
