Palpatine was not a good guy, but he was in fact more competent and had much more foresight than anyone else. The jew movie are retarded and dont explain shit. The empire was created to fight off a massive intergalactic invasion by bio-zealots, the death star was designed as a weapon to be used against Yuzan Vong world-ships. Eventualy they were stoped after destroyed more than half the galaxy, and only thanks to the remnants of the empire coming to rescue the retarded republic. The main reason that brought them to the galaxy were the jedi, them doing their psy tricks and whatnot worked like a beacon drawning the Yuuzhan Vong and helping them navigate to reach the galaxy. Palpatine literaly did nothing wrong, creating balance between the dark and light sides was supposed to "shut" the beacon-like energy, but the jedis were to stupid/corrupt to understand that.
