There seems to be a new wave of takedowns for public torrent sites. While new sites will pop up eventually the new alternatives are most often inferior.

Applying for an animebytes account took me maybe 15 minutes. That was a couple of years ago so maybe the process has changed, but if you can't spare that little effort don't be surprised if you run out of sources one day.

I still haven't recovered. The places I've tried don't seem to use irc bots anymore and even some scanlators sites make things difficult.

No amount of seeding helped me repair my ratio because no else is dumb enough to download all of detective conan.

Well I know the difficulty level varies but my laziness also covers mandatory seeding, quotas and all the other bullshit that comes with private trackers. It's just extremely inconvenient. Also I live in Germany so having an account for a torrent site is a terrible idea. Germany is probably the only country in the world that actually enforces those ridiculous fines they try to scare you with - even in the us you only get a written warning for pirating.

I upload 50 kb/sec when I seed, because of Yen, and how every 1080p torrent is freeleach it's really easy to stay positive without actually doing anything. Time seeded is more important than actually seeding.

The first half of the first season of SWO or some other crappy shiw costs like 60$, that's ridiculous. It's even worse if you want to watch something long-running. I think if somebody was insane enough to buy all of Naruto he'd end up with a few thousand dollars on his bill...
