This mistrust of Jews stems all the way back to the Middle Ages in Europe. Jews were rare and often under the direct employ of a Lord or King as a money handler, banker, or a messenger. They were liked for these roles due to their skill in them and their loyalty actually lied with said Lord or King which meant they could be trusted not to stab them in the back as otherwise they'd be kicked out of the country and due to wording many laws did not apply to them because they were employees and not citizens. They could get around taxes, money laws, you name it they could get around it.
So to the average citizen they'd see the Jew as sketchy as fuck because within a short time of arriving in country they'd be rubbing elbows with a high ranking Lord and this would extend to their family for generations. Combined this with the idea that the Jews killed Jesus and you'd see why the animosity would spread.
As for 1900's Europe it was because despite many Jews having integrated well into their given cultures after like 500 years of being there and seeing themselves as German, Polish, etc they still were sort of alien in that they had a weird and rare religion they followed and had secondary loyalties which were to their fellow Jews who would often look just like your average German or Pole with 1 or two small features that would give them away depending on how much they interbred with the locals.
People naturally mistrust anyone different from them especially those who look and talk just like them but low key are part of an alternate group with entirely different loyalty structures. This is combined with Jews natural ability to reach high places politically, financially, and be generally successful despite their history of literally everyone and their mother wanting them dead and gone.
