We don't build all timber framed houses, so all we have to worry about is flood waters, and I have a plan for that. I have realized that instant mash absorbs a lot of water and gravy can't seep through it, so I've created super sandbags. They're a 50/50 mix of sand and instant mash, they'll absorb flood water as it tries to get in and block the rest when they've absorbed enough of the water. I've also got about 200 euros worth of instant mash stanched around the house to soak up water if my primary defense fails.

Just because its no longer a tropical cyclone does not mean its not bad. Post tropical superstorms carry just as much force as the Hurricanes they used to be.
