Why is Anne so shit? she ruined the whole episode.

It was a run-of-the-mill SoL that sold badly and was just seen as "okay". I enjoyed it, but I can see why people will not remember this in a couple years. It'll fall in the same category as Hyakku, A-Channel or Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. It's not bad, but there's nothing about it that is remarkable.

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée was at least a BIT better than the others man...at least it had an original setting.

Unhappy was my AOTS.

Yeah, I couldn't think of another forgettable SoL. I guess Wakaba Girls but 3 minute anime series never have a chance.

As far as SoL goes, I liked Sansha Sanyou more.

I can respect that, but personally as a writer I found Unhappy's consistency and narrative cohesion as a story strike a chord with my heart that SoLs rarely do.

Maybe Tari Tari? Wasn't a pure SoL but I remember it purely for thinking it was easily the most forgettable show I've ever watched.

It's a better written CGDCT show than GochiUsa, but popularity with anime seems mostly determined before a show even starts.

Uh what. Hibiki has eyes only for Ren. and both of them aren't even introduced until several episodes/volumes in.

In the manga they're introduced at the end of vol 1, but their development is gradual because they get sidelined a lot until vol 3-4. The anime actually went out of its way to include them in those episodes were they aren't even supposed to make an appearance.

So how was the adaptation overall anyway? How many volumes did they burn through, shit reshuffled, and anime original episodes?

Amaama feels like it's trying a bit too hard. Also it's lacking something Anne Happy has, but I find it hard to express what it is. Don't get me wrong Amaama is nice, but not on the same level.

What the fuck? Amaama is the more natural of the two. If anything is trying too hard at everything, it's Anne Happy.
