How does anybody get any exercise living in one of these?

No tree cover, no scenery to look at, no curvature to the roads even. Just grids of houses and sidewalks and trash looking people who sit on their porches or eyeball you from their windowsills.

Try to guess where in the U.S. this is. I feel like there's no culture in the way cities are planned anymore, so much that the area depicted to my left could be anywhere from California to Maine

It's easy.
You don't.
You use your car to move around, and you grow fat.

my home value continues to rise. I could make about 40k off of it. I'm hoping the trend continues for a few more years - then I'm out

fuck man you're right. but how is it fair then to blame the majority of people for their weight and activity habits? When children are born into an environment like this and never given any chance to succeed otherwise?

good luck. it's always a gamble, that second subprime mortgage crisis is literally around the bend. I hope you make a nice chunk of change instead

Those are residential streets with sidewalks, right? What's so hard about jogging or biking there?

Much easier than where I live. The street outside my apartment complex isn't residential and there's no sidewalks. I have to drive about seven to ten minutes to a park to run.

And why the fuck do you need shade, you wuss? Just throw on some sunscreen and sweat it out, Christ. The roads aren't curvy enough? Cry some more.

hey. hey. kill yourself fuckfaggot

No, seriously, what's stopping you from exercising, fatass? I'll give you a hint: It isn't your surroundings.

That's what happened eventually in my simcity game. Just run out of space keeping up with demand, can't be bothered to make it pretty anymore.

>2017
>falling for the grid meme

It's like these niggers never played cities skylines

>what is a gym?
>what is indoor exercise?
>what is running around the block?

If you're fat, there are ways to deal with it. This neighborhood layout is not the issue.

You're basically forced to own a car if you live in such a neighbourhood.
Which is not really nice, but you could get your kids and drive around the state for a change during the weekend.
It looks too fucking sterile, you may say this now, but try spending some time in such a place - this sucks your fucking soul out. Not only is it dense, but it also looks the same everywhere. There isn't any vegetation besides the lawns and a couple of trees here and there.
Nothing is physically stopping you from exercising but it's just tough on you mentally.
Such an environment is just not made for humans, it might be optimal usage of space but it's just not welcoming for a person..
There's just not enough variation. I'm a cyclist and I can cycle in my city (instead of outside of it) only because it manages to look different. And it paradoxically has a modern grid layout.
There's just something that the americans aren't doing right with their city planning.

I live in 10 floor buildingŠ± city center, market on first floor, very convenient.
In the next building there is a post office and a bank, a sprawling market, and shops in each building, at a distance of 50 meters three bars.
In the ass of your suburban areas, where for the sake of a fucking sandwich you have to start a car and go somewhere

grids are more efficient you retarded cuck, you can exercise indoors

>There's just something that the americans aren't doing right with their city planning.
>he says as his country gets flooded with millions of muslims

I have a gym in the basement of my house. I work out there. I don't like people so I don't want to jog around the neighbourhood.

wew... lad

even our commieblock cities aren't that bad

hell, my 64 years old planned town isn't that bad

>I'm hoping the trend continues for a few more years
It wont

Looks like somewhere in midwest. Flat lands.

>maine
Looks like more Henderson, Nevada or someplace in LA county

Suburbs suck, but what's the alternative? You can't drop in rural conditions, and while city conditions could be substituted, they're worse. People pay more for the suburbs because the suburbs are worth more. So how can you get people into an environment that's worth more still?

To think, 2020 is going to happen without any arcologies open at all. I didn't expect that at the turn of the millennium.

if there could be no traffic lights you could ride across most places by bike faster thn today by car
cars need to be bnned

I go about 15 to 20 mph on the streets in my city during trffic. you can beat that easy by bike

I hate fat people

Can you guess what city this is?
