There's just something bothering me with the full-kakuja theory.
I may be a speedreader since I've not reread the beginning of :re, but we haven't seen Kaneki cannibalize much, just Eto a little. I don't see how he could have evolved to full-kakuja.
Or is there another mechanism involved in the transformation, beside eating other ghouls?

Well, to first develop a kakuja Kaneki ate ghouls for months. Later, in the sewers, his kakuja develops a new mask and six centipede tails.

Then in :Re, he feasts on Eto's kakuja.

It's not like he went from his lab kakuja to a full-kakuja, the evolution in the sewers, though obscure, was still pretty great.

Also, I do think Eto's kakuja is more substantial than a few ghouls.

Oh, and he technically ate Takizawa's ear, but I'm not sure that did a lot.

Kaneki has full control, doesn't go insane, can form anything with his kakuja that he wants when he wants.

If he's not full-kakuja at that point, when is he? At that point, it really only seems like an arbitrary differentiation.

Everyone is assuming there is something like a "full kakuja".

Eto had a seemingly complete kakuja that Yoshimura imitated, but then she grew the kakuja mech.

So I think technically, being able to control your kakuja is seen as "completing" it, but that doesn't mean it will stop evolving. If you keep cannibalizing, it will probably keep progressing to newer forms, and there's not a point where your kakuja is "complete" and you hit a ceiling and it won't ever change again.

It looks fucking awesome, but it honestly doesn't really look like a kakuja. He looks more like a Kamen Rider kaijin, given that he can shoot fucking fire.

How about his old gang members from Chisen Lian? How about Fei? Tatara forgot about them and is only spouting shit like "muh beloved brother" "muh fire is as powerful as my brother's love"
