#The anons here are smart and respectable people that will use the spoiler tag but if you're reading for the first time, be wary that once the dump ends, it is a free-for-all#
Gather 'round, anons! Let me tell you a story that started some years ago... We follow the adventures of Gon Freecs and his friends, going through their hardships to achieve their dreams! Dreams of the unknown, dreams of freedom, dreams of vengeance and dreams of altruism... Happiness, fear, courage, despair, loss, rivals, life threatening situations and pain. A lot of pain. The kind of pain that will lock your back chronically. Start hunting!
Thanks for dumping all of this, bro. Do you do it all by hand? 'Cause that must be brutal.

I wish Togashi would use more mid tones but I understand why he doesn't. You can't do that shit on a """"weekly"""" basis.

You know, I'm starting to warm up to the Viz translation.
Granted, they do make some weird mistakes in their works (Zolo, Mumen Rider, et al), but for the most part they do well. Better than Panda and Stream, at least.

I'm a fag who prefers translations without honorifics and names to be properly translated. The only thing I miss from viz and most official english translations are japanese named techniques and shit. Makankosappo is a million times better than Special Beam Cannon.

All valid points. I guess Viz knows this too, but believes that the casual reading demographic is just as important as us.
We may not blink an eye with Tatsumaki and Fubuki, but Viz may think Tornado and Blizzard are more suitable for a widespread audience.

Words like tatsumaki and fubuki are things that most of us, from reading/watching chinese cartoons for so many years, catch up on. It is kind of a mistake to translate Tatsumaki and Fubuki, because those are their actual names. It'd be like translating Saitama but if they didn't translate them, can you imagine someone jumping in at a random chapter who has barely any (or none) knowledge of japanese language and reading "Tatsumaki" and "Fubuki"? How would they associate a relation between them unless clearly stated? Would viz have to type in every page a *Tornado? Even their kind of obvious relationship can be lost to many people.

The volumes of One Punch Man at least have translation notes at the end of each volume. They explain Mumen Rider's name, for example. It's an okay compromise.

Depends on how you want to use the fire. You could use transmutation and use it in a similar way to Mustang from FMA, making your aura into an igniter. You could use it as difference application of Genthru. To emit your aura into fire, you'd still need to use transmutation (60%). Much easier and efficient to try that if you're a transmutter or an enhancer.

Genthru is a conjurer right ? I'm thinking about abilities like shooting fireballs or explosive bullets but they require detaching aura from your body (emission). Good thing that fire burns easily in normal conditions so once you finish the setup, lighting your way is easier but it's not quite a flashy performance. Unless you're Feitan.

Those are just colour pages reduced to grayscale, right?
The palace invasion really does have the best pages/spreads.

Genthru is a transmuter but he does use conjurer hatsu to manifest Countdown.

Pitou is staying true to the cat nature: curious through and through. Pouf is the insectiest of the RGs. He is right in his own way but still boring to me.

I don't blame them though. They're acting on their own interest and instinct. They are clearly different from each other just like the readers, so people rooting for either of them are entitled to their own opinions. That is to say, each character's decisions from now on are due to his own ideal and principle. Some may say this move is wrong or that one is retarded but each man is on his own battle now, both physical and psychological. Yet they are all for their one-and-only mission.
Mason Bell
It happens man. Not everything has to be logical. I just don't like him anymore.

i wouldn't consider him much like an insect, he's by far the most introspective and intelligent RG, and he's the only one who sees there's more to being a king than what meruem is

I meant insectiest in his design. He's the only RG with antennae and he has butterfly wings. That is pretty insect-y for me. He stayed true to his loyalty to his post and to the King rather than Meruem.
