Are CGI Animated Music Videos the future of anime?

The only reason they use CGI is because it looks better than rotoscoping and is far cheaper than high frame rate animation.
It will be like that until they find a better way to capture dancing.
>CGI Animated Music Videos the future of anime
I don't want to live in that dark future.
I prefer low frame rate dancing
Cgi dancing is just damn lazy
Motion Capture?
Aikatsu's quality became quite good. It was horrific at first, like something from an original Playstation.
But low frame rate animation is based on QUALITY as a way to fool the viewer into thinking they see motion. Just look at fighting scenes in anime
Well, anime has no future and will die anyway, so it checks out.
QUALITY is by defintion unintentional. intentionally extreme expressions and off modelness is a different thing entirely (and in low budget anime, I'm ok with it, if you don't have the ability to animate smoothly and have to cut corners, at least make it entertaining to look at)
It's actually not really cheaper (unless they do use it to make to save costs of course).
They don't have to pay a lot of people to animate or go through the trouble of outsourcing the frames
They just pay a small team to do the motion capture and programing
The main advantage of CGI use is that once the motion library is set up, they can focus on making good dynamic shots and scenes from different angles.
That's very important for dance and music sequences.
...
It's too bad it didn't continue evolving with Stars! If anything it got downgraded.
Why do you think that's a bad thing?
>Individually packaged chips
Why would they do this?
It makes them a bigger efford to eat and it's bad for the environment.
Well, as you can see, the chips are still all clean and edible because they were all individually packed. Not even clumsy girls can ruin now your chip-eating experience.
Aikatsu is the only show that's done it well.
isn't this literally kids anime?
Why are you people watching anime for grade schoolers?
The first one you linked is grade schoolers-anime. The other two are Japanimation for older teenagers and young adults that airs at night.
>BanG_Dream
Literally who?
Crap, I meant the second in the middle.
they all look identical
The difference between late night moe anime and anime for little girls is not as big as one might think. Pripara, Aikatsu! and to a lesser extent Pretty Cure! all have aspects that make them possible to enjoy.
I personally enjoy them for them mainly for the young cute characters, the yuri-shipping and the CGDCT aspects.
Nigga, plz. Don't insult the aikatsus.

Mind you, becoming a mainstream little girls-show is what everyone in the anime industry strives for, because that's where the money lies.
A bunch of idols whose seiyuus really can play instruments, apparently. They're getting an animu at some time.
