How many people are still watching this show anyway?

Me.

18 episodes already? Is it even loyal to the games?

I meant how many, not who

Why is he wearing that shirt?

Because he loves Ryu?

Well, one

Is this the circus case? Why the fuck is Phoenix wearing THAT sweater?

dos

It was getting cold, and Naruhodo is a poor fag he only has one sweater from his girl.

Mostly. Though some small details did get changed for it to fit anime schedule.

>We lived enough to see Moe the Clown being animated

Anime was a mistake

>hating on best boy

AAInvestigation Never

Eat your burgers, Apollo.

Just do it, Mr. Tiger

>tfw you believe people can fly

Pros:
>Maya was cute

Cons:
>it's 2-3, meaning everything else

Will begrudgingly keep watching it.

>keeping a sweater from the bitch who tried to kill you
Poor fag to the max

...

Haven't been following this show since 1-3. Did they manage to do 1-4 justice? Will they be able to pull off 2-4?

Holy shit Maya was extra moe this episode.

>not knowing the girl that was mostly with him was the real best waifu, not the murderous bitch
You probably didn't completely finish the game.

...

I knew that, but as far as Phoenix knows it was Dahlia who gave it to him, he didn't know about Iris until the third game

1-4 was okay but they failed to adapt a couple of the best scenes, which hurt it somewhat.

MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI MESSI

It was Iris who Nick fully fell for. Dahlia only was around at the beginning and the end of the relationship. It was just that he didn't know the twin existence.

Oh huh this is still happening.

It actually gets pretty good ratings, around 4.5. It's just on Sup Forums that interest has waned, but it seems to be popular in Japan.

Yeah, but before it was revealed he thought they were the same person. So at this moment the only thing he knows is that the sweater was given to him by Dahlia, the woman who tried to kill him to cover up her crimes.

That's a little surprising because the production values seemed pretty bad the first few episodes sans the ED. I dropped it since it looked like a by the numbers vidya to anime adaptation. Has it improved since then?

At least replaying AAI2 hasn't let me down.

It's a rollercoaster unfortunately, some episodes can have downright decent-to-good animation and then the next one portraying the same case will look like shit.

>spoiler
I need to replay that too, it's so fucking good.

>mfw I just got around to finishing 2-4 after Big Top turned me off to the game for a few months

You anime-only fags are in for a treat.

Or maybe not, given the track record this adaptation has so far.

It fills the schedule for good-rating Kindaichi. So they get similar audiences thus similar ratings.

When is the new game gonna get released again? Do you think it will be good considering it has a Kurain magic mirror bullshit?

I thought they did a terrible job with Turnabout Goodbyes, all the great moments from that case fell flat in the adaptation. Had a lot of QUALITY too. They did an OK adaptation of the Steel Samurai case though. From the first courthe oblue episode I think it's worth watching is 13 since it's an anime original about the class trial from Phoenix's childhood. Have yet to see the second cour

*only episode

They have actually done better jobs animating in the second half.

I say 2-4 was a decent adaptation, minus too early exposing to the viewer the responsible party, making Gray reveal his gun in front of Phoenix and Franziska not using the photo and anime!Phoenix just giving up on the point for his fucked up honestly.

But the breakdown was well adapted and the finale was climatic.

Whops, 2-2, not 2-4.

>think they're going to go in chronological order and adapt 2-1 next
>nope enjoy the shitty clown case for four more weeks
WHY IS THIS ANIME SO GARBAGE
THEY'VE CUT TWO CASES SO FAR AND NOW WILL HEAVILY BUTCHER OR COMPLETELY CUT ANOTHER

PROVIDED THEY'RE NOT SO LAZY THAT THEY DON'T EVEN FINISH THE TRILOGY

FUCK THIS ENTIRE PRODUCTION AND THE COMPANY BEHIND IT

Anime is only covering games 1 and 2.

Is a creepy middle-aged ventriloquist with an abusive puppet ever NOT the murderous lunatic?

All you miss from 2-1 is Maggey and nothing else. And it is a starter case which they have already done in ep1-2.

OF COURSE
OF FUCKING COURSE THEY'RE TOO LAZY TO FINISH THE FUCKING TRILOGY
THIS IS A FUCKING INSULT TO EVERY SINGLE FAN OF THE GAMES
WHAT'S NEXT? A GHOST TRICK OVA THAT CUTS OUT HALF THE GAME? A ZERO ESCAPE ANIME THAT SKIPS RIGHT TO THE SECOND GAME? WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO FUCK UP NEXT?

Did their pour their whole budget on Big Top? Production quality was almost of below average anime.

>No Pearls
At least they pulled Cody's testimony on Ben. I hope 2 more episodes of this garbage and we'll get to the real deal.

>Ghost Trick OVA
>They won't use rotoscoped sprites
It hurts

Skipping 2-1 means that IF they were actually smart enough to adapt Trials and Tribulations, they'd have to skip 3-3 as well, since Maggey is the defendant in that case too. Or they'd have to heavily butcher it so that it's not as important to defend her, which it kind of was.

They'll do more games if they get further seasons, calm down.

Why would you want Trials and Tribulations by A-1 at all?

They can quickly introduce Maggey later, or having an original case episode for S3 with her in it.

>original case
The flashback episode was bad enough fan-fiction

I liked it, it was cute.

They'll just do a flashback. Not that hard.

Konosuba did the same thing earlier this year, introducing characters in flashbacks.

It's only redeeming quality was Franziska, and they still managed to fuck her up by drawing her like a five year old when she was barely two. She shouldn't even be speaking coherently.

>She shouldn't even be speaking coherently
Prodigy, fag.

Some might say she shouldn't be proseCUTEing at the age of 18.

And best part was when Nick and Larry forced Miles to be red Kamen Rider (or something)

Is there a reason to watch this if you already played the games?

Episode 13 has original content.

Aside from that, Maya is cute and perfect.

Can't they just introduce Maggey in the 3-3 eps?

It's serviceable as a wiki to refresh memories of the first two games, so, if you don't have time to replay the games in hype of AA6, it should do the trick.

Some characters get, like, their moments. Especially Maya. That scene in episode 2 when Nick offers her defense is still pretty well done and one ups the game.

Oldbag and Cody were majorly improved over the games, I'd say.

there are the magatama's scene in the anime?

No. Honestly, it was wise to cut it out from the anime as it was game's gimmick.

Anime's equivalent I'd say would be the fact that some minor testimonies are being dealt with outside of the court room Ace Attorney Investigations style, it's a wise choice and they should've been doing so more often.

I wonder how they gonna handle Matt Engarde without megatama.

Especially when Phoenix started to be suspicious towards Max.
And likewise Phoenix's JfA contempt towards prosecutors is non-existing.

>anime-only fags
There are seriously people who haven't played the games who watch this?

Me.

i'm sure they'll find a way, IIRC, Shu Takumi himself was supervising this anime

You poor unfortunate soul.

I'm honestly surprised you're sticking with it, but then again I can't say I know what the anime is like to someone who hasn't played the games.
I will probably know what it's like during this case though, I don't remember a thing from this circus case.

I am curious, what do you think of DL-6?

I thought a lot of emotional weight has been lifted because anime handled it by just pouring all the info about it through Grossberg via giant exposition.

>surprised
I like Maya and the soundtrack.

It had it's moments, but I think it could have been better even if I don't know the original.

i did that for Persona 4

>the soundtrack
You mean the few tracks from the game, right?

Still no development between Maya and Phoenix
Fuck this series, thankfully I dropped it.

Gold or good one?

Probably, can't tell which is which.

I dropped the anime in favor of the game, but why are they skipping the policewoman case? She was a top tier cutie, I wanted to see her animated

It has some remixes of original soundtrack and some original tracks.

Neither are really good, but I always do get hyped whenever Allegro, Objection or Cornered play.

>Shipfags

Why is this bitch so fuckable?

2-1 is a starter case, and there already was 1-1.

Let's be honest, 2-1 was a garbage case with garbage mystery and garbage villain that have nothing to do with the rest of the game. I think it was the worst tutorial case in franchise.

Cute cop returns in a much better, albeit filler case in Trials and Tribulations

both

Can you play AAI2 without playing the first one?
I see comments mentioning that the first game is bad but the second one is pretty good. If that is the case, can I skip the first one?

It's better if you play the first one because of some returning characters in 2 introduced in 1. And 1 isn't that bad, just generally bland. 2 is the best game in the series however.

I thought the amnesia gimmick was pretty enjoyable, but I guess it wouldn't translate that well into anime

>That scene in episode 2 when Nick offers her defense is still pretty well done and one ups the game.
The only good scene in the anime
Well the ep 13 was good as well.

First one is not a bad game by any means. I thought it gradually got better and better as it got along, but never quite reached the same heights as any of the original trilogy games.

Its biggest problem was probably mess of a production: it originally was supposed to be Ema Skye's game. I think it resulted in Edgeworth literally having no reason to be there.

I don't recommend you to skip out on Investigations, I still had fun with it and it is rather needed for Investigations 2. But trust me, Investigations 2 is godly, I think it stands up right there with original trilogy.

Is this your first time watching airing anime?

Good.

>>Shipfags
>Not wanting PhoMaya to happen
Remove yourself, animeonlyfaggot

Well whatever though, I don't feel like to give a fuck about anything related to the Phonix series anymore.

Not him, but sounds good. Am I right in assuming AAI2 has been fully translated now then?

Do you think Mimi managed to turn her life around, after serving the sentence?
She wasn't exactly the most terrible person

It has a fan translation.

Personally, I have a bit of problem with some of the pop culture references, but honestly it's absolutely on par with Janet Hsu and other people from Capcom's localization team and puts Nintendo Treehouse to shame.

>delusional shipper
Spoiler so you can avoid shitting up Sup Forums starting next month: there's no Phoenix X Maya in AA6 either.

I think all shippers share some sort of mental deficiency. They all write same kind of aggressive drivel like "I don't care about this shit show anymore, since it won't pander to me"

>Being a shipfag
>Not EdgeBag
Get outta here fucking normie.

>real best waifu

my nigga

I really was hyped for this
