Don't be afraid to write stories about monsters that want to eat children? Rags to riches story about a kid that works his way to the top? Siblings or families that learn to stop doing shitty things to each other and act like a family unit?

A song about the happy Zyklon Bee.

A kid, like mowgli, adopted by a wolf pack. He learns to hunt to survive in the wilderness with them. Chorus has a wild "awoooo" part in it....

A kid on a small primitive farm learning to care for various farm animals. Like chickens, calves, and kittens. Learns to defend the farm from varmints like woodchucks or foxes or Hawks. Then at the end of the day they sit down to eat, as in this egg came from the chicken and the milk came from the cow etc.

A kid falls off his bike while doing a foolish dare / stupid trick from a bad friend. He breaks his arm. And goes to the doctor to have it fixed. After while it heals, but he has a permanent scar. Then he either learns to do the trick right, or ge learns to ignore the dumbass friend.

Retell Junji Ito stories in a way that would scare children, but not too badly.

Early in the morning, the Baker makes bread and donuts, preparing them for sale. Various workmen from the town come in to get an early breakfast. This sandwich goes with the fireman, who washes trucks and stacks fire hoses. That sandwich goes with the police officer who keeps the roadway safe. The other sandwich goes to farmer who plants 100,000 corn seeds in a field near the woods. At night, the Baker makes the door ready for the next day?

A monster is willing to trade a child's ugly face for a shiny plastic face. The plastic face has a permanent smile carved into it, and cannot display any other emotion. The kid either refuses the deal, or accepts the new face and can't be recognized by his family or friends. He goes back to the monster to get his own face back, but the monster is gone.
