Pretty damn well terrible, but I think I've just kind of outgrown late night TV anime and the kind of storylines and appeals it likes to opt for nowadays. Love Live, 91 days, Tales of Zestiria and Battery are passable in that they function as shows over a month in and that's about it. No desire to stick with them week to week but they're at least watchable compared to the rest and there's a chance I might finish them.
Lately TV anime just feels like rehashes and reductions of the same old bland shit, tired people and music artists (the industries current rotation of staff was played out years ago and has nothing to offer anymore clearly) and you can really feel the late night TV industry starting to shrink in on itself rather than the growth and expansion and trying new ideas that it likes to boast about but is a blatant lie.
In short I think people give late night TV anime way too much credit and marking them as good to bad would just feel like marking them on a curve. Something more like absolutely awful to mediocre seems more within the evaluation range of late night anime.

6 means show is fine for what it is and I'm entertained and enjoying it enough to keep watching.

I have barely been aware a show called New Game exists so it can't be that bad. Then again maybe it just completely fails to register with me altogether since I'm so tired of titles that sound like reincarnated in fantasy/game world with waifus stories or making those kinds of games with waifu stories which have already been done to death a thousand times of late and have little room for exploration or growth as a genre it seems. I know it's super popular in Japan but I'm just not one of those guys that because he plays and watches video games wants to see meta stories about cliche annoying shithead archetype characters that do those things. I think if the characters in these weren't insufferable almost as a rule they might be better. I mean Shirobako didn't have obnoxious characters and that was about a group of friends working in the anime industry albeit at separate companies.

I still like anime or at least think it still has the potential to not be terrible again eventually if it can sort out some of it's production committees bullshit tendencies towards not giving a solitary shit about animation as anything other than a means of promoting their products to obsessive types, I'm just not going to sugar coat what has been a terrible run for it's late night component in the last few years just to try to fit in with a board culture. It is what it is really and honestly it just looks like people are in denial in the face of overwhelming evidence that the medium has regressed and become neglectful in a number of areas that are kind of crucial to running a good show.

It has always been this way. Trends come and go as time passes by. Plus, animation standards have gone up. Go watch your average 90s show and you'll see how awful the animation is compared to shows today.
