I'm pretty excited for March Lion.

Where's your proof?

We know.

You misspelled Kyoani

Nope, the audience are the cancer killing anime.

Was Hyakko better than Soredemo?

That's not OP's mom.

Reminder that trying to incite studio wars is fucking retarded.

Monogatari

I watched Rec last night it was great

^

pls respond

Remember when Shaft mad SZS? Those were some pretty fun times. Other than that, completely.

Well, with BeeTrain and Gonzo dead, I guess Shaft is the worst studio now. So you're kind of right OP.

No people that obsess over them like you are what is killing this community. people don't have to be stupid about them, but they are.

A combination of shit over-promoted commercial hackery of the kind that SHAFT is just a good example of among many and the audience that laps it up while memeing 24/7 are what is killing anime and it's now shit for brains community. Nobody has any actual clear cut standards for this shit anymore, it's just all about the memes and commercial aspects that shouldn't matter as much as the industry has managed to convince it's domesticated niche fanbase that it does. It's a complete joke if you are able to stand outside of all the bullshit and see it for what it is.

Remember the early to mid 2000's when SHAFT used to just come up occasionally as a quirky sort of avant-garde studio that produced cheap kitsch looking shit before Aniplex's stealth marketing PR and Crunchyroll culture managed to convince a generation of fans that they are the absolute fucking shit and to watch all their stuff. Nowadays memers won't shut the fuck up about them and they're easily tied with Kyoani as the studio with the most dumb shitposting fanboys. The thing is there's actually a lot of them that are being fucking serious too.

>not king of fuck-ups Bones
>not cheap as fuck A-1
>not "let's make everything but more Raildex" J.C. Staff
>not ecchi harem assembly line Production IMS
>not studios too shitty to remember

Pornogatari

Yeah, Kyoani is better.

>Not studios too shitty to remember
>He remember A-1, JC Staff, & IMS
TOP KEK.

A-1 is the cancer killing anime. Rushed, cheap-looking sameface garbage being pushed out in droves every season, horrible working conditions, isekai adaptations.

>Birdy Decode
>Working
>Anohana
>Erased
>Same face
You need to check your eyes, user.

Shaft in now practically the same as A-1, a studio owned by Aniplex/Sony

Kyoani in a nutshell

KyoAni isn't cheap and they don't shit out tons of shows.

Considering monogatari and madoka are their most influential recent anime, I don't really see that much anime inspired on those. Madoka has a few more, but still low compared to it's success.

A-1 or JC Staff definitely hold that honor.

>Kyoani in a nutshell
This is the average anti-KyoAni drove everyone.

Are you kidding? Working, Anohana, and Erased all have that "A-1 look" to them.

>A-1 is the cancer killing anime.
Working and Service was great.

>Rushed, cheap-looking sameface garbage being pushed out in droves every season, horrible working conditions
I think every single studio except KyoAni can be blamed for this. And not just recently. Going all the way back to the 1970s. Its just a sad fact that the majority of 13 episode anime is made on a budget smaller than 1 episode of The Simpsons. It comes down to budget and time. And KyoAni is the only studio I can think of that prioritizes animation over profit. Sometimes resulting in a loss for them.

>KyoAni
>Loss
Think again

>nichijou
>hyouka

Like it or not, they didn't do well.

What are you talking about?

Hyoka sold 10k on average and the re-release sold another 10k.

Nichijou sold 3k + 3k re-release.

Which is bad compared to other KyoAni shows. And may not have been enough to make a profit off their huge development budgets.

>twitter.com/erkin_kawabata/status/589384655796731904
>KyoAni has below average budgets

As a reference, in 2015 only 50 shows out of 150~ managed to sell over 3k last year, and out of those 50, less than 20 sold over 10k.

Also, anyone is able to buy their financial reports since like 2009, and they've always turned profit, even last year with Phantom World (pic related).

Pornogatari.

A-1 may be one of the worst, but Shaft is basically A-2 at this point so they are just as bad.
