Yeah but that's troubling. These small coincidences are really damaging their stand because ever more people become suspicious. Shady shit is worse than straight-up acting and lying.
Why not pack the surroundings with employees, why not make sure there are no situations where people could possibly witness more than one shooter? Not saying that's an easy task but the way it happened, assuming that OP's article is true, would mean it was a sloppy job.

People are more suspicious than ever. But I don't think it translates to anything. This was one of the first major incidents of violence that had widespread public skepticism. It doesn't mean anything will be done about it. And in that gap of indifference and uncertainty, any sort of social predator will look to exploit the situation. It's more of a decades-long trend at this point, with public confusion at it's highest point.
