Seems like they're setting up Zenzo for an epic reappearance.

Wait there's a love potion arc OVA? Why isn't it subbed?

It came out on the 4th, and I don't think anybody's bothered to upload a dvd rip before now. Hoping it'll end up subbed in a couple of days, but at least there's a chinese subbed one (though the subs can be disabled).

I wonder how many chapters left? I'd say about 30, because all the characters are where they are supposed to be and, unless some miniboss appear out of nowhere, Utsuro is the only enemy that needs to go down in a fight

He will never be who Shigeshige was, but I lvoe waht Sorachi is doing with Nobunobu.

I wonder if some of the Tendoshu will get to be a miniboss.

There's also the liberation army to consider.

About 30 sounds about right, considering the usual pace, but it might get increased if Sorachi adds any mini-bosses like in the previous arc.

What are the chances of one person being left behind to fight each boss? It's the chance to show off each character's full potential.

It would be sick if it pulled a FMA, where it's basically an army against one.

Well Gintama usually doesn't do those kind of miniboss fights, but we got some last arc, so maybe we'll get some here too.

Preferably for characters who haven't had a lot of one-on-one battles. Sacchan for example.

Shinpachi can finally show off all his training as well.

Well I can't imagine that happening until the final fight, so maybe after some minibosses.

Utsuro doesn't really have godlike destructive powers though, just overpowered regeneration and fighting skills.

I think he dodged that death flag back in the Shogun Assassination arc.

Why is the Shogun the only one who can talk to the Amanto? Where the fuck are all the other world leaders?
And where is the Emperor?

I want Kagura and Shinpachi to end up together.

I think it's a recurring problem in Japanese media, pretending that the world outside of Japan doesn't exist.

Sorachi did give a reason for Japan's importance, and that's that Earth's Altana is in Japan, and the Terminal is built right on top of it.

As for the Emperor, his power has historically mainly been symbolic. Considering his divine status in Japan, I don't think he's going to show up though.

Yeah that's a good point. But yeah I think it's a result of how Sorachi has substituted other countries with other planets from the start.

Probably, but I wouldn't mind waiting for them to appear, give the other characters some spotlight. The Shinsengumi tend to gobble it all up when they appear.

The OVA made me realize that even when the last run wasn't the best, I miss the anime.

you would think so.

on the other hand, you could see it as their archenemy Nobunobu joining up with their other archenemy Katsura.

Yeah, same. Still annoyed they skipped this arc and several others, but at least this one got an OVA. It's great to see it animated and voiced.

I'm not sure Sorachi would try to kill him again after he dodged it last time.

I miss those days of the Shinsengumi chasing Katsura.
