kindle sees them, they are selected, but when holding finger in text instead of selecting a single word it highlights entire sentence, the only place I was able to make the lokup work is in section titles that are one word long

I bought mine in Germany. I think it asked me to download it as soon as I opened my first Japanese book.

You're seriously underestimate how hard it is to translate doujins and H content in general. Japanese contains lots of grammar constructions, vocabulary and weird set ways to say certain phrases when it comes to sex and physical movements making it extremely challenging to get the gist as well as the nuance over to an English script. Couple that with having to deal with physical constraints due to bubble size, vertical text weirdness and characters talking with their mouths full of dick and your easy 20 minute TL job turns into an hour long one.

While my TL admittedly had some errors in it, I think they were minimal enough. I'm going to be doing a fan TL of Jintai and other untranslated works by popular LN authors like Romeo which will definitely be easier.
