The forgotten Mikasa, as ever.

LM soon.

Isayama isn't self inserting here

MYLH sooner

I'M GONNA MARRY HANGE!!

Dumping what we have so far.
I want to do a infograph later.

—In the Uprising Arc, we start to see some subtle changes in Erwin and Levi’s relationship, don’t we?

Isayama: In the Amecomi Hero edition [TN: Attack on Avengers], it writes about conflicts in relation to the phrase, ‘With great power comes great responsibility’. In Levi’s case, if he didn’t have any power, he would just be a normal person without any responsibilities. But because he has power, he has become a person who is burdened with too much responsibility.

Levi himself realized this when Kenny said, “Everyone is a slave to something,” and asked him, “What about you?”. He is a slave to his own power. He felt a sense of duty: “I have to become a a hero,”

…This can be said about Mikasa as well… The Ackermans serve their liege, so there are many of them who are able to exert their power to the utmost maximum.

—Huh?? (surprise) That’s information that hasn’t even been revealed in the story! It’s true that for Mikasa there is Eren, and for Kenny there was Uri. They both have a ‘liege-like’ presence in their lives…

Isayama: For Levi, that person is Erwin. He has acknowledged Erwin as an existence who he looks up to. It’s part of the Ackerman bloodline, or an instinctive part of them, you could say.
—I-I see… (surprise). Levi maintaining his surroundings and distance, and the way he avoids facing those who wander in, it’s all because of the huge power he possesses?

MikasaYmyrLeviHange?

Jean is still a joke

Ackerdogs confirmed?

Isayama: He may have been scared of building deep relationships. Since he is living in a world where he doesn’t know when he’ll be eaten by a titan, he avoided having people he considered his family.

—Being the only one left as everyone dies around him… the pain he would feel. But even this Levi was able to build a parent-like, close relationship with his new squad.

Isayama: There are a few causes for this change in Levi, and one of them was when he realized Erwin’s intentions. In vol 13, when it was revealed that Ragako Village’s inhabitants had been turned into titans, Erwin smiled. Erwin smiled because he was thinking, “I was right all along”. But to Levi, Erwin is the person who once said to him, “let’s save humanity together”. So in that moment, Levi thought, “Isn’t that different to what he said before?” LOL.

[TN: that’s not me laughing, that’s actually Isayama laughing at confused Levi, what a dork]

—It was a great surprise to him (lol). So I wonder if Levi can accept Erwin’s intentions, then.

Isayama: Around the time of vol 13, Levi wanted to say to Erwin something like, “You’ve been hiding this from me, haven’t you.” But he just gradually stopped… He wasn’t doubting Erwin. It was more like, he felt Erwin was mysterious. This person who he considers to be an existence that is above himself, that there is still so much that he doesn’t know about him. And he realized that same person has been acting all this time with a motive that is childlike. He was interested and reacted with, “Well, it can’t be helped, I’ll help you with it then.”

I want to murder Mikasa!

I'm not sure but I get the feeling Hanji will never tell Historia about the letter.

Nah, he self inserts on the true savior of mankind

Torn apart.

Eren pls.

Isayama: Then in vol 18, when Levi tried to take over command of the mission and Erwin wouldn’t listen, Levi was a bit angry at Erwin’s behaviour. Levi’s line, “I trust your judgement,” had a bit of an angry, “If something happens, this is your responsibility,” mixed with it. And right after, when he broke up Eren and Jean’s fight by using more violence than was necessary, it was actually Levi taking out that anger on them (lol).

—That was very unfortunate for Eren and Jean (lol). But the fact that Levi can take his emotions out on his new squad, you could say it’s because he has such a familiarity with them.

Isayama: They don’t treat him like a monster, so I think he feels a trust for his new squad that he’s never had before.

Levi noticed Erwin’s unexpected intentions, had just said farewell to Kenny, so he must have been feeling a sense of loss. And his new squad may have buried that crevice in his heart. That’s why in vol 17, even though he was punched by Historia, there was a bit of “You worked hard” and “You’ve done well” mixed in with his “Thank you”.
—That scene with Levi’s smile was a truly warm scene. And Levi’s liege, Erwin, begins pushing forward to solve the mystery of the titans.
Isayama: His unconscious dream became a conscious one, and as a human, the stable side of him was present even more than before. But even so, Erwin is not the kind of person who prioritizes his own dream. He follows through with his responsibilities, and when the time comes Erwin is able to give up on his dream and make the best decision. If we were to compare, Erwin is a character in a similar position to Armin. Armin is chasing a dream that is pure and fresh, while Erwin’s is drenched with something very personal, you could say.

Could Flocke have defeated Mikasa if Hanji hadn't intervened?

So, is he confirmed Ackerdogs or not?

His father was killed because of a slip of his own mouth. He had delusions of a sort in response to that, and acted to achieve his own private goals. But before he knew it, he was at the top of the scouting legion and giving orders to subordinates. There was a part of him asking himself, “What am I even doing this for”. He was a paradox, a self-contradiction. So when he faced his subordinates, telling them, ‘for the sake of humanity’s future’, he felt like he was lying to them. He has been struggling with these conflicts and anguish all along the way.

No. Stronger.

>could an unarmed red shirt that wil be dead next time there is a conflict defeat a top ranked autist with genetic super strength and big fooking blade?

This is all so contradictory if you think about it. Ackerman are supossed to serve and protect their liege, yes? then why would Levi let Erwin die knowing full well he wanted to see that damn basement? That he was far more resourceful and smart than anybody? in other words, the perfect guidance for restoring humanity. It also strikes me as weird, according to this once Levi found out about Erwin's intentions he basically said "fuck it, we're sticking together no matter what"
And then he lets him die like that without letting him fullfill his dream.
I'm not blaming Eren, Mikasa or Armin. EM reacted as I expected them to, emotionally. They were broken their important friend, their brother was dying and they were in the middle of a tough choice that'd ether let said person die or continue on living. Still, they were under control. Levi was the one who had the last choice, and he gave his back to his "master" just for the fuck of it.
Why in the fuck Isayama.

Goodnight Sweet Commander Handsome.
You'll always live in our hearts.

“In the upcoming developments, the three of them and their way of thinking will go in different directions. As a result, they will end up in opposition.”
Someone translate the rest?

That's because Ackermans feel like "heroes". Levi realized it. Uri was ready to die and Kenny just looked at him impressed.

—Kenny serves his ‘boss’, Uri, as well. But in his case…

Isayama: While Kenny was serving under Uri, he was trying to become a kind of dictator, but I’m not sure if that’s truly what he wanted. On one hand he wanted to be one, while he also felt he didn’t want to at the same time. So in truth, he may have just been tired.

Flocke was one step away becoming a martyr. And Mikasa would gotten away with it.

– Regarding Mikasa and Levi’s Ackerman family mystery, we’re also receiving more clarity! Can we say that Mikasa, Levi, Kenny are all part of the same Ackerman bloodline?
Isayama: They are all part of the same Ackerman bloodline. However, their reasons for protecting their respective counterparts don’t have anything to do with the bloodline itself - it’s just their nature (laughs). Within the story, Mikasa and Levi almost have the guardian/knight-like roles, right? That’s because they encountered the existence of a “boss”-like individual (T/N: Isayama interestingly uses the exact katakana “ボス” - “boss” here), and the desire to work for that person is very in line with their personalities.

This confirms Ackermans have a hero complex and feel powerful. That's why Mikasa feels older than Eren.

Didn't he just say that the Ackerman imprinting was a genetic thing?

So by letting Erwin rest from this hell, Levi became the hero?

Top left: Asian Family (down to Mikasa’s mother)
Top Right: Ackermans
The line between these two: Served the King a long time ago

Above Grandfather Ackerman: Main Family (down to “Grandfather” but he has no name)
To the left of Main Family: Branch Family (down to “Mikasa’s father” and he has no name either)

Under the Main Family category: Big Brother “Kenny” and Little Sister “Kuchel”, later down to her son Levi

Text connecting Levi and Mikasa: Into the Survey Corps.

Why did they use that fucking picture of Kuchel
thye could've used the one where she's crying

Eren is Mikasa's Big Boss.

>aids kuchel on family tree
KEK

Why did the use one of Papa Ackerman where he looks like Erwin?

So Armin is The Boss?

Only two are left.

Something like that but also, remembering Erwin's last words, he realized that he didn't abandon his dreams completely and he was hallucinating about it. I think in that moment, Levi realized that the decision was his (Flashback of Kenny giving him the serum) and his decision was to let Erwin rest: "Abandon your dreams and go to hell" and Erwin accepted that.

Hanji soon

She is the only thing standing in the way of Isayama's favorite coconut becoming the commander of the SL

It's kinda poetic, but by letting Erwin die Levi is saving his humanity instead of living as a Titan and be miserable.
If Erwin lived, he will be feared as a ruthless monster as Flocke said.
If isayama doesn't disappoint, Armin will wake up having to carry all of this burden instead, and we know he's not fit for it.

So who was the boss and master of Mikasa's mom???

>Kenny let Uri die
>Levi let Erwin die
Mikasa confirmed to let Eren die?

EMA a shit.

Levi is a hero because he knows he has strength, more so than average people. "With great strength comes great responsibility" so he's kind of enslaved to his own strength.
Hes using his super strength to fight for Erwin's cause basically like Mikasa and Kenny.

There's a theory going around on moon realm the no one in the end will get what they're desiring.

Mikasa's mom wasn't an Ackerman, her dad was

If you can see beyond that if Mikasa feels is the right choice, she will. If Eren goes with Zeke (that I think he will), Mikasa will not oppose.

Oh, a new page

This.

>theory
Uh. Not confirmed yet.

...

Then who was the dad master/boss then

And Kenny let Uri die. They are not obsessed people overly attached to "objects", so they understand the human side of the people they care for.
So while I don't buy the excuse, is pretty clear that
>Erwin was full of guilt about his father's death
>Erwin needed to amend the sense of his father's death
>Erwin decided his own meaning of life was validate his father's theories
>But in his path of prove his father's theories and fight his guilt, he realised there was something bigger than his personal desires. he realised he was fighting for something not selfish.
>And that was actually his father's goal (probably): the truth, the freedom
>I think the main problem with Erwin is that he had a problem with the path. Even if he chose the right path, this was always going to be his "selfish path", because he is haunted by guilt. Guilt is the raw material of his paths, always.
>Manlet and the people surrounding him were able to understand Erwin wasn't only the "lol, bad guy".
>But becoming a shifter meant he had unlimited power to fulfill humanity's goals, often mixed with his selfish desires.
>At some point the bigger picture and his private desires clashed.
Manlet didn't seem the type who was ready to let someone he respected to turn into such a mess.
So, since Erwin can't fix his father's death, and with a new ability, plus his guilt, even if he decided to choose a "right path", the guilty complex is going to be present. So the guy was going to end needing a shrink for life.
Still, I don't buy entirely this theory because is rushed and not well developed.

So its now confirmed that what Mikasa feels for Eren its not love but just Ackerman Autism??? Wew never thought about that. EM DROPPED

Considering how hard he jobbed he probably never found one. Ackermans must need a master to unlock their autist strength.

Mikasa's mom, maybe?

I guess that's what they meant with "the guidebook contains plenty of ErwL pandering"

Grisha
>Oh please Grisha-san come to my home repeatedly to check on my wife's pussy
>Grisha-san, I would love to hear you tell my daughter everything about the birds and the bees

I'd say some family emotions are in there somewhere.

Also:
Doesn't this fit with Mikasa's flashback?
How something triggered within her brain when Eren "ordered" her to fight?

Ackerman Autism is the purest form of love

or maybe it was his wife.

So is it revealed who the savior of the Ackerman family is?

Lebi

Mikasa

Kenny

All have the same equipment (3DMG+blades or pistols).

Who is win??

>Considering how hard he jobbed
That wasn't jobbing. He literally got stabbed the moment he opened the door. No way he could have save himself from that. Even Levi could die if something like that were to happen to him

He accepted that because it was a bitch of a situation, I'm sure if he could've had it otherwise, he would've prefered to keep living. I mean, he didn't make peace with death, Erwin expressed how much he wanted to see the basement. It's all he has ever wanted to do, ever since he was little. The reason why he rejected love, the reason why so many people died, all for nothing? Levi knew it. He had the chance, and he changed his mind in the last moment. I'm sorry, but I can't justify that.

Hod did Kenny exactly let Uri die? he was ill, he was old, he had nothing left to offer but his life to keep the tradition alive.

I kinda wish we had seen a one-on-one fight between Kenny and Levi. All Kenny did was kill some fodder, job, and die.

...

Levi is very handsome, I won't deny that. But he looks fucking awful in this chapter. Literally a frog.

That's probably when her "liege-like" presence was found and the Ackerman bloodline triggered that she has to serve him.

Just like Kenny for Uri and Manlet for Erwin.

>tfw no scans of Annie
>they fucking cropped her out of that horrible page with Jean and uploaded him instead

>Zeke is literally the only shifter that has managed to kill a main character.

It actually sunk the explanation of Levi wanting to put an end to his suffering. Two reasons:
1-Levi saved Armin because Erwin was only fighting for his own motives and when he heard him talking while he was unconscious, he realized he didn't give up his dreams completely. Choosing Armin who has a dream that is not so personal.
2-He already made the decision of letting Erwin die when he told him to go to hell and this time, he choose Armin who still has that look of hope.

@ing fukushuu.

Mikasa beats Kenny

Kenny beats Levi

Levi beats Mikasa

Rock paper scissors

It hurts.

It's just entirely needless. Why shit on little Annie if you uploaded BR?

...

...

>the part about Eren being completely busted up inside might be true

So at the end he choose Armin because...

...

>manlet
>handsome
what

Jobbers, the lot of them.

...

because Isayama is an Arminfag

...

It hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts

Fuck off. I am trying to have a discussion.

It seems more like Armin is a self-insert that Isayama projects his issues all over than he is an Arminfag.

...

What's so great about the ocean anyway?

Fuck off scum, Levi is the most handsome in the entire manga same goes for Erwin.

...

no. Levi is screaming stop because he knew she'd kill him

That feel when no Sasha to my Erwin.

>This is the last time Bert heard Annie being mentioned.

...
