Agreed. Its one of my favorite styles. I like folk Americana style Impressionism which is sometimes hard to find, especially landscapes. When I find it, the world feels like less of a shithole for a second.
These threads are the best. I would offer music as well, but i have garbage taste, i just like classical music as a whole, especially organ.

Definitely has the folk art feeling but impressionism typically has more bold strokes and mark movement. Ill see if I can find some in my stash.

Gustav Dore can cram more detail, pain and emotion in a print then anyone else I've ever seen, been trying to collect his work.

Fun fact, the lady in the window is by Dali, of melting clocks fame. He was an amazing artist, and crazy like a fox. Learned that there's no such thing as bad press if you know how to work it, just a madman. Also had skill like a great old master, could sketch with watercolors, and actually got kicked out of the surrealism movement because his technical skill was too clean and solid. Amazing guy, and fantastic art, real waking dream stuff.

I love it but went back to painting because lithography press beds are hard to come by if you dont work at a Uni. Its primary painting and music for me these days.
