Better than Re:Zero.

Are you on drugs OP?

What is this? Attention thread? Well here you go OP.

I agree. Maria is the better "parody", the author of Re: Zero clearly wants to be taken seriously and despite poking fun at Isekai and the escapist average fun, he has created a masterpiece. Maria, on the other hand, is a true post-post-modernism work. If you didn't know that it was a full blown mocking parody you would have to call it fucking shit

Dead series. RIP.

>implying that's hard

The turd that you shat last night is better than Re:Zero.

I want to fuck a box.

Did it get an adaptation?

No, and hopefully it never does. It's too good and shouldn't be tainted.

In that case

> There's a entity causing everything for fun.
> People going psycho.
> Inconsistent characters and Maria by far.
> Daiya using the box for Kokone.
> Headbang.
> Chainsaw, murder, so-on.

Is it a dead series if it actually ended properly?

Not that the ending was all that fantastic or anything, but we didn't get strung along for fifteen years with neverending plots

It was decent seeing how he had to wrap it up in one volume. It's kind of his fault for not writing fast enough to turn it into a volume per year series. But maybe that's for the best.

Why this poorly written garbage get so many good reviews?

>>There's a entity causing everything for fun.
What, 0? Did you even read the books?

The ending sold like 400 units in Japan.

Fuck it. As long as it didn't get canceled, it's fine. We even got some songs.

How does this series even continue after volume one where it's apparently like a million loops or something. I've never read it, but what is the plot even about?

Poor man's New Testament 9.

Kids with narrowly specific super powers and how they fuck everything up.

Each arc is about one kid using a Box, and how the MCs deal with it. Overarching story about the main girl and guy is really well distributed and foreshadowed throughout the volumes.

Not a chance, Utsuro no Hako is far better than anything garbage like Index could ever dream of being.

The only thing that's poor is Kamachi's writing.

No.

Index is garbage.

>pulling it all in one volume
The impact of the experience is that it actually passes through real time.

Ignoring the retarded plots, the cringey way that the characters have of expressing themselves, the clumsy way in which the author rushes through everything he doesn't want to portray as dialogue, or how the characters explain how they reached X conclusion through a dialogue I'm at the very least managing to read through it. Sad because you can tell that it's not even a translation problem

Anime is always cringey anyways, but that's the experience. Others is personal preference of an author's writing style.

Well I have no problem with the characters being extravagantly grandiose if they are actually performing super feats, like Fate or any of your chuuni fantasies. It's just that the characters don't do this actions and still act that way. For example, when in the ceremony Maria does that Salute to Kazuki, or any time that the narration itself describes any of Maria actions. If the books were at least more lenghty you could form the emotional connection to allow that kind of thing without it being stupid and monotone.

Also yeah that title drop in the second volume was killing me, especially when they kept mentioning the fucking night on the mud in the last line just before every chapters/hour was over and over

>it's this idiot again

>Well I have no problem with the characters being extravagantly grandiose if they are actually performing super feats, like Fate
No surprise here.

You have no talent as a literary critic. Try something different.

Do I know you?

It took so long to come out that all excitement died and it sold like ass, but yes it had a proper and I think good ending.

>a Taiwanese puppet show is allowed to have threads on Sup Forums but this can't anymore
>even though the translator would come to the threads when he was working on hakomari

Animation and comics from other asian countries can be posted on Sup Forums.
LNs without anime or manga adaptations belong on /jp/.

That's just how it is, if you don't like it complain to Hiro.

Bullshit. Manhwa gets deleted all the time. There is just a double standard for the puppet show because it is urobutcher related and all the newfags who think it is deep while hating actual anime.

That said, LN threads happen on Sup Forums all the time. So fuck off.

This series would be incredibly popular in the west if it ever got an adaptation; unfortunately Japan thought it would be better to just make another season of My Wife is the Student Council President

Manhwa has been stated by the mods to be okay. Even if there is some janitor that hates korean comics that doesn't change what the rules are.
LN threads happen mostly for titles that have adaptations.

There is a reason /jp/ exists.

>Manhwa has been stated by the mods to be okay.
You're a lying sack of shit. I've seen gookshit deleted from OPT.

...

What are the reply numbers? Was that like /qa/ or some place that doesn't matter?

desuarchive.org/q/thread/12598/#17757
Just because you say it doesn't matter that doesn't change anything.

Go start a manwha thread and see how long it lasts.

Ohh what do you kno
desuarchive.org/q/thread/12598/#q18142
>LN threads are allowed
Looks like you can kill yourself now.

Hakomari is incredibly overrated.

Tower of God gets regular threads
Here you can even see posts complaining about manhwa were deleted
desuarchive.org/a/thread/141306605/#q141306605

Like I said before, just because some janitor does what he pleases doesn't mean it's the rules.

>considering there are several shows every season based on LNs.
This is in relation to LNs with adaptations.
Sup Forums.org/rules#jp2
>This is the appropriate board for the discussion of Japanese visual novels and light novels.

I miss the pre-Re:Zero threads. Now every HakoMari thread is 100% unbearable shitposting from incredibly defensive people.

What's even the deal with Re:Zero? I haven't watched it and have no idea why it's so shitpost-prone

It's popular and it's easy to shit on and call it garbage because it's isekai.

This isn't fucking fair. How did this bomb? It has cute girls and a school setting

It took literally years between volumes after the first two or three or four
hype died
quiet releases
etc

The guy took years between volumes, changing artists and editors along the way.

I can hardly believe anyone who started reading this wouldn't care about the ending at all. It was such a gripping story from the very start and years laters the LN industry just kept getting worse anyway it's not like this got too old or something.

Fuck off japan seriously, the rare actually good LNs all get terrible treatment, no hype, no sequel, etc
Terrible.

Decent show with lots of waifu bait. MC is Sup Forums incarnate 85% of the time, but turns into a full retard 15% of the time and creates MEME FUEL. Whether or not it's excusable due to the plot is debatable. Causes your typical "this is popular but has issues, therefor it is shit and I must post about how it is shit"

Not so much that people didn't care as much as they had just moved the fuck on. If it had been a yearly release it would have been much better received.

this has piqued my curiosity

is the fan translation good or the usual garbage

What the hell is this and why haven't I heard of it

Did this ever get an English release? I thought it would but there's still only fan translations from what I see.

Baby's first deep LN.

It's pretty decent, I think
It's a pretty good LN that lost all of its hype and marketing a few years ago around when it got to volume 5 of 7

It's unavoidable when the medium is mostly trash

I honestly didn't give a shit past the first volume.

No, but the translations weren't bad.

I don't know if it's good, but it sure was a fun ride. The last one in particular. That level of Yandere is always fun to read about.
