I have a 10.1" tablet and it's nice for reading at home but too cumbersome to bring outside. Even though it has a low resolution at 1200*800, it's still very readable and you don't notice the pixels unless you stick your eye right next to the screen!
My phone's screen is 5" so it's kinda hard to read on the bus or train but my hands are too small for a 6" phone to use comfortable...
Why not? Using something like Honeyview lets you smoothly enjoy mango on a large monitor.
Christopher Murphy
This. It's great and has spoiled me so I can't read it through any other medium anymore. Also enables me to save pages I like.
Joshua Foster
>10.1" >1200*800 Could you consider to upgrade?

7" tablet with perfect viewer, or honeyview on computer.
Aiden Adams
I don't use my tablet for other things and it's honestly fine for manga. The resolution is honestly okay and you won't notice the pixels unless you intentionally put your eyes next to the screen. I have a 23" monitor that can rotate and be put in portrait mode but it's much more comfy to read in bed...
I have a windows tablet so I can save pages too! I download most of my stuff though...

tried this once, it just doesnt work. Its like im reading with a Biology pdf

I had a 7" tablet with the same resolution as yours and honestly it was barely acceptable. I then got an ipad mini 2 and the difference is HUGE. It is perfect for reading novels, manga, etc. I can never use a tablet with a resolution less than 1080p anymore without thinking it's a piece of shit.
Leo Peterson
Maybe because it's 7" and you have to hold it nearer as compared to a 10" tablet..?
Charles Brown
No, it's because of the pixel density aka dpi (dots per inch). With a lower pixel density everything looks more 'blurred'. I suggest you to try an ipad in your local walmart or similar and see for yourself if you notice the difference. It doesn't need to be an ipad but in my local stores there aren't any tablets with high dpi other than ipads.
Zachary Barnes
I have a 27" 1440p monitor, a 23" 1080p monitor, a 1080p 5.2" phone and a 720p 5.5" and it doesn't bother me. I think manga would look worst on higher resolution since you're going to end up stretching your manga when you fill to width when reading it. It's only blurry if you put your eye next to the screen and intentionally look for pixels.
Landon Long
>I think manga would look worst on higher resolution since you're going to end up stretching your manga when you fill to width when reading it. Perhaps is is because of the ipad's huge resolution but I have found that to not be the case (2,048x1,536, 7.9") As I said before try it for yourself. If then you find no difference then perhaps you're getting blind or I am too damn picky.
Jeremiah Hall
Images will look "blurry" when you upscale them.

Yes I fell for the 7 inch phone meme

Are you 2d?
Connor Harris
Look dude, I'm not trying to sell you anithing here, I am talking from experience. Things hardly look blurred with the upscaling because of the huge pixel density, unless the images are really small of course. Also everything is always upscaled in ios. It's a shame I can't change the scaling. Try it for yourself sometime.
Anthony Barnes
Is this image supposed to make upscales look bad? Cause it's having the opposite effect.

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

Pic related is what I'm currently reading on my 12.9" iPad pro. Screen size and resolution are perfect. No need to zoom in or out anywhere. It's like reading the physical version.

I've never found a reason to switch from reading manga using my ancient cdisplay ex v 1.8 I've been using for over 10 years now. But then I'm probably in the minority as someone who still reads manga off of zips on my hard drive instead of off shitty web sites.
