>be 26 years old >finished BSc in Health Sciences in January of 2015 >couldn't find a decent job so took a warehouse position for 6 months >quit job and haven't found a real job since >2+ years NEET
Here's where I'm thinking I got memed Sup Forums
>every position requires 3-5 years experience for entry level >preference given to disabled and minorities because of affirmative action
Did I get memed into getting a Bachelor's degree? All my high school friends who didn't go to college are working stable jobs and have moved up from their pleb jobs to management positions in the time I seem to have wasted in school. Any interview I take, they pick the Asian or Black person over the white candidates. Am I fucked and doomed to be a NEET forever?
>health sciences Higher education is certainly a meme when you do a meme degree, my friend.
Kayden Diaz
>finished BSc in Health Sciences in January of 2015 >couldn't find a decent job so took a warehouse position for 6 months >quit job and haven't found a real job since
but you had a decent job for someone in your position
>mfw a brainlet with a history of making poor life decisions thinks he's entitled to a respectable job
Juan Walker
Honestly, I'd say it is. I'm 19, dropping out after this semester. Cutting my losses so only 10k in debt.
Idk what I want to do in life, my parents are insistent on a degree, but i just don't know. Been thinking recently about getting a heavy equipment operators license, maybe head down to WV, work that a few years and then join state police
I just don't know anymore
Mason Cooper
>Health Sciences Ya blew it.
Elijah Brooks
>be 26 years old >finished BSc in Health Sciences Stopped reading right there. That's all I need. Thanks leaf.
Jaxon Campbell
it used to be the norm that higher education = job but that hasnt been the case for a long time, a degree will help you get into an industry that requires you to have a degree for it, but there's a lot of educated people now.
find a specific job you want to work and take actions to reach it, the level of education doesnt matter, your passion for the job does.
Ryder Gutierrez
>Finished MBBS >Job straight out of uni >Pays pretty well >Good progression opportunities
Just got to do the right degree user
Luis Sanchez
I can't believe you fell for the oldest trick in the book! What a goof! What's with you man? Come on!
Asher Thomas
You were tricked into thinking everyone gets to have nice comfy jobs. In reality they tricked you into wasting money on school so more people would apply for skilled jobs which drives down wages. You were just a cog in the machine to keep profits high
Isaac Lewis
Join the military
Jaxson Wilson
You're just a moron. Anything in science, you need a masters or phd.
Most health science degrees set you up for medicine/dentistry/pharmacy/etc.
Brayden Nguyen
>>finished BSc in Health Sciences in January of 2015 You shouldn't have been a male in that major, friend. If you were a girl you would have a job.
Brody Jenkins
>spend 50k on job training without any idea of what kind of job you actually want >REEEEEEE universities are a waste
Shit majors are a waste. People who go to college to "discover themselves" are a waste. University is a bargain if you actually know what you want to do.
Jeremiah Mitchell
Liberals seem to think that college has some innate value. It doesn't. What you learn has value. They believe that just putting time into something means you deserve respect and money. In reality, you can put 30 years into your queer dance study degree, it's still worthless and you've wasted your life.
Unfortunately, they're wasting valuable resources with their nonsense, lowering the quality of education and increasing the costs for those who actually want to acquire knowledge and skills that will benefit both them and the nation.
Daniel Robinson
You need to dress up, buy some makeup and learn how to flirt.
Wyatt Thompson
College is a waste of time and money. My kids will NOT be going to college if they don't get scholarships. Hopefully they'll be white minority by then and get all the minority scholarships
Cooper Parker
>health sciences You fucked up.Should have studied medicine.
Xavier Hill
>Anything in science, you need a masters or phd You mean anything in academia.
Jonathan Gomez
I talk to cops who come into my work often (I manage a small local deli). They tell applications for police academy are extremely low, they often tell me I should apply. Have you considered this? Cops make around 40k a year to start. Since applications are low in my area I'd easily get a scholarship and the academy would be free (so they say). You just have to meet some bare minimum physical requirements. If you have half a brain it's easy to move up in the police force and eventually get a desk job.
I have some other goals in interests I want to pursue first but if they don't work out and I'm 35 I'm probably going to join the academy. I'm in good physical shape too and work out a lot and plan to keep that up, food for thought user.
Robert Carter
If they are so insistent why don’t they pay for it?
Connor Ross
You need to work out how the job market works, took me a year but I did it, work that shitty job long enough to have something on your CV and keep applying to the jobs they claim they need experience. Although it says they want 3-5 years experience if it's listed as entry level apply anyway they actually have trouble filling their vacancies and simply put the experience level their to reduce the number of applicants. Whenever you get a call keep asking questions about what they are looking for and what the industry is like so you can put buzzwords on your CV, most recruiters use software to find the necessary buzzwords if your CV lacks them they won't even read it.
Cameron Ross
>preference given to disabled
That's not true at all, I've got a bsc in theoretical chemistry and get fuck-all because "we can't be sure if you're able to make calls and speak 2 other languages even if you're C1 certified; a worker with 2 CIs is a too-high risk"
Robert Smith
can you give us some insight on these buzzwords?
William Hill
Why would they pick the asian person? We typically don't benefit from these sort of affirmative craption programs.
Luke Thompson
>he thinks the "minority scholarships" are actually tied to the minority status
Lmao. Niggers and spics will forever be a "minority" in legislation. Even when they're in every town and city. Even when they've driven all the whites out. They'll always get the beinifits, and your kids will be disadvantaged for being white.
Carson Rogers
wtf, i studied sociology and found a job in 2 months.
Ryan Brooks
he wants to blame not being a minority as his excuse for his incompetence
Samuel Gomez
If you wanted a job after college, why didn't you major in Engineer or Business i.e. the fields with the highest job placement for college grads?
Justin Rodriguez
>Hopefully they'll be white minority by then and get all the minority scholarships Holy shit, you're in for a rude awakening
Cooper Jones
>higher education >has a BSc
Come back when you got your PhD or maybe MD in your profession.
Carter Jackson
Took you until 26 to realise it was a meme? Canadians must be real brainlets.
Samuel Hall
>be 24 years old >finished bachelor in civil and environmental engineering in 2012 >multiple job offers before I even graduate >5 years later project manager making 150k a year
Everything went better than expected.
Doubly so given I grew up poor as fuck.
You didn't get meme'd OP, you just made bad life choices.
Gavin Rodriguez
>not pretrending to be a transwoman for professional purposes
It's not like theirs a test to proved wheher or not you're *really* trans, user.
John Diaz
>Finished BSc in Astronomy >Started MSc in Space Engineering >Still feel like a brainlet and have constant brain frog from being frustrated >Just want a family and a car and to till the land
Ryan Adams
apply to spacex and fly to mars.
Joseph Davis
Fuck business. everyone i know who studied business is now a shitty paper pusher at their local mid tier firm.
Robert Turner
if your going to invest into school you should have gotten more then just a Bachelor's degree. sorry bro.
Connor Robinson
Depends on why you are going. If you are attending college for employment and are not STEM, Business, or teaching, it is pointless.
Ethan Richardson
>Fuck business. everyone i know who studied business is now a shitty paper pusher at their local mid tier firm. Business pays on par with STEM here.
Ryder Harris
Literally everyone has a bachelor's nowadays. Get a master's, and you'll have a chance at getting a job.
Nicholas Jones
What's a meme is public education. It teaches children to be inmates, and they grow up to make prisons of society.
Aiden Gonzalez
Yeah you got memed. I grabbed a bachelor's in English. Literally fucking useless unless you want to suck wieners for a living. Realized I got memed halfway through. Finished with a shitty gpa. Went to a large corporation got an entry level position and worked my way up over the next few years. They do take into account the meme degree but they could care less what it is or how you did.
Robert Martin
Not all business majors are created equal. Finance, accounting, and economics are the best. But if you put all the business majors together they still do better than nearly all other college majors save for Engineering/Compsci/Physics
Nolan Ramirez
Most of business jobs are gonna become irrelevant in 10-15 years when ai and quantum computing becomes cheaper and companies start using them.
Brayden Jackson
OP claim to be half native american and youll have 2 interviews next week
Ryan Harris
It's all about who you know OP.
Be me >Get degree in Engineering. >Can't find work. >Go back for MBA. >Still can't find work (Have job but it's mostly like an unpaid internship to add to my resume). >Buddy gets lucky and gets job at company. >Company needs a fuck ton of middle management. >Buddy tells Manager & HR about me. >Gets interview and job offer.
After so much stress and failure, I'm finally no longer a fucking NEET. Starting as a Production Supervisor and I'm pretty much fast tracked to being a manager if all goes well.
But yeah, it's all about networking and willing to do work that most people won't want to.
Jack Torres
No it won't. Maybe the support monkey roles, but higher level business requires meeting with clients, sales, etc.
Jonathan Russell
is this a fucking joke? accounting? most of finance jobs are irrevelant jobs, they do nothing. manegement is bullshit. its not future proof. a girlfiend of mine who is a business major with master started to study law now because working in a firm is hell. she hated everything about it. the work, the coworkers.
Sebastian Ortiz
Youre canadian so you like being useless
Jordan Hall
yeah, maybe 5% of people who work in a firm, go abroad and meet clients. most of them sit on their ass all day doing boring shit and projects that lead to nowhere.
Michael Reed
Pol police in the place
Jonathan Gomez
Could be worse; B.A.
Gavin Morris
>yeah, maybe 5% of people who work in a firm, go abroad and meet clients. most of them sit on their ass all day doing boring shit and projects that lead to nowhere. Depends on what field. Pretty much anything above an analyst position in finance involves personal interaction.
Jason Collins
...
Kayden Myers
I think it is. The only things that are truly important is trade schools or MOOC's that give you trade skills that are useful for your job you want to be in.
The problem with education sometimes is you are relearning or learning on top of what you already know, but not much on the important skills you will need for your career. I have been living the NEET life for 2 years almost now after graduating.
David Gray
I went to college in North America...
75% of the students needed a degree so some contact could put them in a position that required some sort of higher education....
Come back to Brazil, 2 favela doctors ask me to teach them English so they could get a better life...
They end up one in Candida and the other The USTDA...they both work the worst fucking schedules and find out they will never advance as doctors if they can't get enough money to set up a private practice.
Higher education is a meme because you can get educating by reading but will never get anywhere unless you have push or had your shit pushed in by Whinostein
Ryder Adams
this guy here did his shit for 20 years, in empty caffées and pubs, and then all off a sudden he became so good with his bullshit that he's now one of the best payed jazz musician / comic in all of germanosphere youtube.com/watch?v=bTbMiFhM-Iw
theres no excuse for failing
Joseph Johnson
College is a meme if you get a meme degree. I went for an IT related, graduated in April and have been job hunting since February. >applied to 250 places >networked with friends family >did 8 different interviews in person >talked to recruiters weekly >finally got a job offer last Friday If you don’t have serious connections you have to bust your fucking ass if your a white man in today’s job market. They gave me an offer starting around 40k which ain’t bad for the mid west. HR is supposed to be emailing me the shit to take a drug screen and background check today but I still haven’t received it.
Brandon Richardson
Who (((discovered))) this person?
Every fucking movie I see about blacks in the US making it in music has some (((creature))) discovering them....
really gets my coffee pot ready beans roasting
Andrew Williams
kek he's funny and based, he makes his whole organisation by himself no (((producer)))
Sebastian Lee
maybe you just don't work hard enough or you're not as smart as your peers, no worries user don't be sad
Connor Sanders
There is always (((somebody))) that needs to write about you in the (((paper)))...take (((notice)))...
Been doing his shit for 20 years you say and he was doing coffee shops and bars...now watch him (((mutate)))
problem with main stream is that you got to swallow somebody's stream
If I am wrong, and I fucking hope I am, then good...finally somebody made it without their shit having to be pushed in
Jonathan Nguyen
Fucking oath
Daniel Cox
absoloutely, did you know that the Blues musicians were some of the "first" instance on how the jids established themselves as music producers in the USA after the war?
Except Howlin' Wolf, who did organised all by himself, and they didn't like him for that very reason
Joseph Sanchez
if you look at the top management almost all of them have a background in engeneering and it. bussiness and management grads do only low tier jobs. 95% what you learn in bussiness school is theoretical bullshit that doesnt make any sense and you wont use in real life anyway. they just stole couple of fancy words from psychology and science and put some pseude economic science in it.
Isaac Cook
Lol you want to work in a health sciences factory?
You fucking pleb, get a normal degree for a normal and well paid job. You aren't apart of an elite that get to work in some weird field and get paid loads of money to chat shit. You should have studyied engineering
Dominic Brown
Is that in Africa?
So glad I don't live in what ever shit hole country that is.
Josiah Mitchell
>if you look at the top management almost all of them have a background in engeneering and it. No. Only for tech companies >bussiness and management grads do only low tier jobs. 95% what you learn in bussiness school is theoretical bullshit that doesnt make any sense and you wont use in real life anyway. Business jobs pay as much as engineering. MBAs pay more. >they just stole couple of fancy words from psychology and science and put some pseude economic science in it. Ok. It still teaches you how to manage people.
Eli Perry
I believe...the Jcrew saw that the whites were with the black music and the underground use of alcohol and marijuana during prohibition...
So of course, the Jcrew highjacked the jazz and blues music and made themselves into the cool jazz and blues musicians..eric clapton for example...and after they took over rap music and pushed it into the face of white kids, they now have a stronghold on marijuana that the dutch perfected in growing more than a century ago.
The Dutch made marijuana into a fine product and the Jcrew made it into Took the superior Dutch culture of cultivation and respect for plants and turned it into a mainstream shit show where it is all about getting and not about making it into a social lubricant for discussion and social adhesion They are now doing it with ayahuasca
Matthew Rivera
That was in Salt Lake City, Utah where blacks make up 7% of the population...
Caleb Moore
>get psychology and history bachelors (useless) >work at law firm and end up going to lawschool >cant find job after lawschool and admittance to california bar (all require 3-5 years experience) >start my own firm, make 6 figures my first year with partners >4 years later have experience in a variety of legal areas to make me highly employable >cant go back to working for anyone else after being self employed
Truly the ultimate goal should be self employment, having no boss but yourself. Find a career that will allow you to do this.
