Was it rushed, or did Kubo just decide to end it on his own?

Jump ended their contract with Kubo the moment they could but they gave him an extra week to finish the manga. Kubo thought he had all year.

I don't think dragging the story out for another 3-4 months would have changed anything. Maybe show a few more bankai's but that's probably it. In the end Kubo just ran out of bad guys to fuel the fighting.

Gerard could have lasted longer. Haschwalth could have actually had a proper fight. The Royal Guard could have been forced to fight for the new Soul King. It'd be the perfect oppurtunity for them to use Bankai.

Doesn't Kubo have consultants to help him with the plot? The fucking device that steals bankais as a means to force captains to job was retarded and lazy writing.
