I've been hearing of a resurgence or return of the 'goddess' in the West, and in some other places as well. This refers to a mother goddess type figure that is the supreme Creator of the universe, but instead of being male as is defined in the Abrahamic faiths, she is female (pic related) I'm curious as to what the influence of this goddess is within the West. Women seem to be finding solace in the idea that ancient peoples from thousands of years ago worshipped Woman simply for birthing life from their bodies. Today, you can see that empowerment of females in the West, with abortions, neo-paganism, yoga, gender 'equality' and so on. What the hell is going on? I don't know much about this goddess situation at all, but I've heard some theories that abortion is a ritual sacrifice in Her name, as was done in the middle east by the phoenicians, canaanites, sumerians, and babylonians. For some reason, it doesn't sit right with me. This ancient, long-forgotten deity should have been defeated 3000 years ago, yet its darkness and its sexual power still linger. It just doesn't feel right. Here's a few articles demonstrating what I'm talking about: > mama.org/exhibits/ancient/goddess/
Orientalism at its finest. Indo-European religions all see Dyeus Pater as the supreme god. You can see his derivatives in Jupiter, Zeus, Tyr, and Dionysius for example. Nice shill attempt though.
Austin Morales
Wave of second religiousness. People living under the rule of money and the material get nostalgic for the meaning and vitality that came with religiosity in the past and self-consciously latch onto superficial, watered-down and feminised mysticism for comfort.
Samuel Long
Not sure if related, but some of the Christians at my school started talking about "God the mother". They believed that God was actually two gods, one male and one female, and that the female one appeared again in Korea. They were Korean.
Blake Rivera
>>implying God is a man, let alone a gender.
Levi Perez
"Mother goddess" worship is satanic, its all about getting your cummies and worshipping the physical while abandoning higher principles and aspirations. This includes "Mary" which is catholic goddess idolatry.
Go look at any feminist or wiccan and you'll see what the dark mother does to the brain and soul.
Tyler Cooper
>This includes "Mary" which is catholic goddess idolatry That's a protestant myth. It appears because we sent those guys to the deserts of Arabia to 'preach' and more importantly die. Unfortunately Muhammad might have met one of those heretics.
Josiah Cox
Nah. It's just narcissistic bitches playing pretend to shore up their own egos. If they were worshipping a goddess archetype, they'd have to embrace motherhood and the love of masculinity. That's not something narcissists want to do.
Elijah Brooks
Millions of people unwittingly encircle Cybele's meteoric stone in Mecca every year.
Carson Sanders
Well, Jesus specifically said God is male, he called him “Abba.”
Oliver Howard
The only thing I can think of relating to OP's post is the figure of Mother Earth. Yes, she's important in European religion, but memery about abortions sounds like silly concern trolling.

I'm amazed of all fags a moonfag would have posted in this thread. Hello kindred spirit.
Gabriel Wright
The penetrative force which filled the formless void with creation... So yeah, you fag.
Nathan Reed
not to mention dyaus pitar in the rigveda and lithuanian dievas that's not to say there weren't super important goddesses. in the original proto indo european religion and in most of the descendant religions the sun is feminine. all life revolves around the sun and only exists because of the sun, so it's obviously important

>proud liberal feminists: "there is no god" >also proud liberal feminists: "I'm god"

The end of days is near and woman are just being cucked by succubus. Nothing enrages woman empowerment groups more then the thought of being created from Adams extra rib. Learn to be based an believed in the alpha male lord. The world was better when most of society believed this.

A funny looking guy, had to have been 17 tops, stopped me in a mall a few months ago and asked me if I had heard about god the mother. I never had before, so I kept asking him about it and waited patiently for his answers because I was genuinely curious. However I only about the same amount of info out of him as you did. He told me to attend their next meeting. Now that I think about it I should have gone to learn more. It's amazing how this shit pops up and young people latch onto it. Anyway interesting to hear that it wasn't just some local "cult" that spawned from someone's fan fiction of a few biblical passages in Revelations
Jordan Fisher
You guys have no idea what you are talking about. Yin and yang. Divine Maculine and Divine Feminine. God contains all aspects of Being, including women. God is also genderless. Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Mother Gaia, Mother Terra. It's just a code for the Divine Mother. You can't have creation without both parts. One contains the other. The "Goddess" doesn't require abortion or sacrifice, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and you are completely speaking out of your ass.
Sebastian Anderson
>Female goddess? >TFW 60% of prayers are "Send nudes"
Ryder Campbell
That is degenerate heresy. Women are not goddesses, they are whores. They are fundamentally inferior. They are biologically programmed to let men cum deep inside them to create new offspring.
That's it. They have literally zero benefits, zero skills, zero positive qualities, outside of their potential to temporarily incubate a man's seed.
All of human history is a damning indictment of women's frailty, superfluity, and irrelevance.
Noah Sanders
>you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and you are completely speaking out of your ass. Actually that's you, you pathetic nu-male faggot. I bet you like eating "God"s cum out of your "goddess" gf, you fucking cuckold loser.
Lincoln Campbell
>female goddess >goddess >dess
>wet water wouldnt be a goddess if she werent female dipshit

Christianity as it's own goddess figure you mongrole. Ever heard of Mary?
This is primordial human mythology and symbolism.
The female is associated with nature and creation and chaos and potential. The male is associated with society and order and achievement.
Go read some Jung and listen to Peterson.
Jason Reyes
Goddess Columbia is returning. She is going to burn everything down to ash. An start anew.
Robert Young
This is gay Wiccan shit. Wicca is just a reaction against Christianity that throws the baby out with the bath water.
Jaxon Cruz
Who cares, women are more miserable than they have been in generations, and they're too far gone to admit they fucked up. We're on our way to workable substitutes, let them deify themselves. They're narcissistic enough to chase that and leave us alone.
Nolan Fisher
Only good can come of neo-paganism taking root again. I would love to see a rebirth of religion in the West regardless of the form it takes.
Culture absolutely cannot exist with religion. Religion is the foundation of every unique culture and to see an original religion take hold is exciting from a sociological perspective.
Unfortunately is probably right and it's more pseudo-spiritual nonsense. I honestly think California did see a rise in legitimate neo-paganism in the 80's and 90's which spawned their unique culture and was promptly shut down and converted to the brand of Marxism we see today. The Jews don't want original non-manufacture belief systems taking hold.
Hudson Young
>but some of the Christians >started talking about "God the mother". "Christians"
Ayden James
>listen to Peterson Discarded

If there was a abrahamic God, it would be silly to assume that it would be gendered. A gender implies that more than one exists
Ryan Parker
Religion in any form is a good thing as long as the belief is genuine and it holds you to high standards.
Christian Ramirez
God is definitely a man if you think about it longer than 2 seconds you disappointment to Him.

>implying the genders of creation aren't a reflection of universal energies >implying that the creator that impressed life into a lifeless universe isn't masculine and positive
Angel Myers
>instead of being male as defined by Abrahamic faiths
How can a spirit with no material manifestation be sexed?
As for Goddess neopagans, they're just cryptoatheist larpers, same as any other neopagan.
Grayson Edwards
there is a women who created our creator if that is what your implying
Benjamin Diaz
>How can a spirit with no material manifestation be sexed
Man was created in God's image, not the other way around. There is no reason for you to assume that power of generation given to all living creatures is not a reflection of the divine nature of the universe (and therefore the creator) itself.
Leo Lewis
>How can a spirit with no material manifestation be sexed? Because male is default and females were created specifically after the fact to have something different from males.
Luis Long
>What the hell is going on? ya I wondered this too
it is an old thing indeed and it seems to resurface periodically in history to fuck up men and turn their societies to ruin.
to me it is clear that god is, not something masculine, but something you'll find the male mind aligns more closely with, something that man has some proximity to. I always accepted that as given.
So I'm thinking this godess is either the devil, or she's just alright and she represents life itself.
Julian Myers
That is not protestant myth. It is literally Catholic dogma that Mary is/was free of all sin. It has been since Late Antiquity but was made official in 1854, by Pope Paul IX, in his papal bull Ineffabilis Deus.
Now, before you try and play the usual Catholic horseshit response, "hurr durr that doesn't mean she was free from all sin..." Stop. The Council of Trent declared, "If anyone shall say that a man once justified can sin no more, nor lose grace, and that therefore he who falls and sins was never truly justified; or, on the contrary, that throughout his whole life he can avoid all sins even venial sins, except by a special privilege of God, as the Church holds in regard to the Blessed Virgin: let him be anathema."
Finally, if you do not believe me or your Pope Paul, listen to your own St. Augustine, "As regards the mother of God," he says, "I will not allow any question whatever of sin."
Therefore, ergo, vis-a-vis, concordantly, you are yet another papist fuck who will burn in the eternal gnashing teeth hell fire but, even worse, you have proven yourself to be someone who likes a good show and appearing along with the current popular kids on a Cambodian Silk Trading Forum better than you like wisdom.
Wyatt Miller
I think it's more like Goddess worship becomes popular when men and women revert to an infantile state and they feel that they need succor acceptance and love more than the pressure, judgement and challenge that a patriarchal god demands.
These prior emotions do not lead to decay of a society inherently but are a good indicator that mankind is giving control and responsibility up and being at the mercy of a mother goddess instead of proving himself worthy and glorifying his father God.
Cooper Campbell
Christians are too quick to associate paganism with devil worship. Jesus Christ understood that salvation was not meant only for the tribes of Israel but for all people and nations.
He also knew that the scribes and pharisees thought that they were more righteous in their keeping of tradition than gentiles who's souls yearned for communion with the divine and rebuked them for it and told them that they were WRONG.
It was by design that God kept the world pagan for so long. It doesn't seem characteristic of him to allow so many souls to burn in hell for eternity simply because the savior or prophets did not come through their respective tribes. This may be the case with the Old Testament pharisaic "god" but not in line with the divinity Christ aligned himself with.
Jaxon Hill
>shekinah hoax >God has tits and has benis bagoo with a gf of His >gay >wiccan >female witches >gay
Grayson Jones
Jesus Christ just read Genesis 2:4-3:24 and you'll have your analogy. It's literally the first fucking thing in the Bible behind the creation. This shit has happened since the beginning of time and will continue to happen until the end of time. It's the number 1 warning. Number 1.
Ian Evans
I agree, that's why God ordained it the natural order for men to rule over their women.
Nu-males like their girls taking control of the relationship because they are sheltered and soft people that would rather have a "mommy" figure in their life than a wife.
It's more natural for a woman to see a father figure in their husband.
