Camera is likely on top of the same building hosting the flag and not in a different building, so just getting roof access and finding the camera could be sufficient.

The whole french surrendering thing is a meme, to be honest, the French surrendered in ww2 versus a Army using tactics and weapons the world had never seen any other allied power in that position would have done the same thing. the only thing that saved the brits from surrendering was the English channel. Anyways many French citizens joined the French resistance feeding vital information to the Brits and Americans throughout the war.

I don't think the camera is zoomed in, if you travel east from the flag there is a canal and too many trees before you get to any buildings that might be tall enough.

i was thinking the same thing but there are ways around it. if people hide their face with glasses, etc, there is low risk of dox. could be some faggoty camera crew waiting to run up on people who look suspicious, but also not that big of a deal.

Because he thinks it's safe. The building owners allowed him to put the flag here, you're not allowed to take it down, that'd be illegal.. Also we can't fly drones or damage the building, it has a protect stance or whatever by the law
