there were White Russians who supported Hitler's ideals, at least in principal, while obviously disagreeing with his stance on Slavs (probably more inclined to support Mussolini's brand of fascism). however, one of Hitler's greatest errors was certainly in targeting the Polish people. i wouldn't necessarily disagree, especially considering the Poles were more than happy to rid Europe of the vile trash that were the Jews. but it's a bit more nuanced than you're making it out to be. you're being autistically specific about it, but for most people, Hitler at this point just represents nationalism and pride of country and people period.

Only because, in my view, his treatment and ultimate plans for the Poles essentially dismantles the revisionist narrative that Hitler was somehow some grand hero of all Europeans. That's primarily what I'm critiquing in the first place.

Fair enough, I can agree with this point. I do, however, believe that what Hitler represents nowadays is a fair bit different what his beliefs actually were, and I think it harms the movement to associate with him. You can believe the revisionist narrative up to a point, but as soon as you get to his treatment of Poland (and much of Eastern Europe, for that matter) it all falls apart. He had some rather nefarious things in mind for them post-war.

agreed. the ideas have definitely evolved past the man, even if his imagery is still used symbolically. not to get fully into it, but his stance on Slavs really disgusted me. the exiled Russians were so hungry for an ideology to combat bolshevism, as later Slavs would be in general, yet despite initial interest in fascism, they were completely alienated by the stupid (and utterly pointless) anti-Slavic shit.

What I don't understand is why Hitler and Nazi (Germany) imagery is so prominently and proudly displayed by modern day National Socialists, even though supposedly Hitler himself believed every nation should have their own variant of National Socialism that reflected their people/culture. That's an interesting point, I hadn't thought of that. Of course, I think that Americans are probably just less receptive to the NatSoc message/imagery in the first place, it's just more of an alien ideology than it probably is to Europeans.
