The cutoff year for quality in anime

The cutoff year for quality in anime

And the year you were born right?

Not true there are some good anime made before 1994 too.

1994 was a really bad year

>He is at least 22 years old.
>This is no longer an underage insult.
I'm too old for this shit.

check and mate

By that logic it should be 2015, then

every years

Fuck

It's still an insult.
The original userbase of the board is older now, which means that 22 can still warrant a 'fuck off underage'.

If only nothing would've happened that year, including birth, the world would've been a better place by now.

I was born in 1997.

Just a tip, you can say 1998 now for even better reactions.

But I am telling the truth.

Nice logic, I guess people who were born in 1964 can say "fuck off underage" to people who were born in 1970 too.

Drop the capital letters, you'll make it more believable.
Try something like this:
>???? i was legit born in 98 lol :P

This is much less believable than his original post.

If they started browsing their board in 1982, and younger faggots arrived nearly a decade later, they definitely could.

The only real underage is the thing that warrants a ban, but you can still tell younger people to fuck off because they're new by default.

But that's dumb cause are people who were borin in 1993-1994 and started browsing Sup Forums at the age of 13-14, meaning that they belong to "the older userbase"

Sometime around 2008

You can now fap to '98 porn actresses (depending on the country)

I thought you would say 1995 or 1996.

Most of Sup Forums's original anons are now in their early 30s.

Everyone who has ever browsed this website is a cancer. Old tumours are no better than new ones - both are just pending radiation.

I was actually 12

Seems relatively accurate, but I really enjoyed Uchuu Senkan Yamato too, and Rose of Versailles seems good so far. I'm also having fun with Nadia.

Couldn't we rather say the 80s are a large gap in quality anime, with good stuff both before and after?

I am god and the only person who views as first person.

I

AM

the

MC

And I was born in 1994

Well anime was always shit so I don't see a difference

Damn it, they got me.

>22
>It's still underage, u guise
You shouldn't spread your genes. Kill yourself.

>1994
Underagefag please go.

We're technically adults now so... :^)

22 isn't underage

Fuck off, anyone born in the 90's is an underagefag here.

1994 actually has significance beyond being the year OP was born. Anime was saved in 1995 after it had been dying for a while, which also led to some changes in the industry. So 1994 was the last pre-save year for anime

re;zero is quality

Keep telling yourself that, grandpa.

70's - fucking old, reminds me too much of shitty american animation to watch
early 80s - too many gundam ripoffs
late 80s - all style zero substance
early 90s - sweet spot
late 90s - retarded edgefest
early 00s - interesting shows that looked like shit
late 00s - moe land
10s - medium for babysitting autistic children

kill yourself

why are there white bars near their hips?

but im 21 and started going on Sup Forums when i was 12. so im less new than people who are 30 and started browsing when they were 24.

I was telling people to fuck off lurk more as a 22 year old ;o)

y-you know, those

t. kids born in the 90s

Nice job, Sherlock. Want a medal for that?

>everything made after 1994 is pure shit, just the most absolutely mindless drivel

I completely agree, OP.

If you browsed the board while underage, you're no less of a faggot today.

>I base my generalizations on the 3 shows I've seen from every decade

You were either posting while underage or you're a newfag, which makes you cancer.

>a newfag tells an oldfag ''nice job'' and mocks him
So classic

In early 90s anime was pretty much dead. Unless you are a huge Sailor Moon fan, there's not much to watch. You got Sailor Moon, Nadia, Rayearth, and that's pretty much it.

See:

>still trying to push the "there are more older people here than younger people here" meme

No. All the older folk have dropped this shithole and did whatever else with their life. If you're 26+ and are still browsing this website then just what the fuck are you even doing? You're like the gunk that continuously fails to go through a filter.

You didn't even include NGE, which dumpstered absolutely everything you mentioned in both popularity and sales.

Stop trying to act like an expert.

Normalfag? thing?

Is it possible to be not normalfag in 30+??

Eva isn't really early 90's.

>1995
>early 90's

1999 was the true cutoff

>I'm young, so I will arbitrarily decide at which age others stop browsing the board
You don't suddenly change personality when you have your 26th birthday.

Don't you have some gym selfies to take, generation Z?

Does it really matter? As long as I don't act like a retard I pretty much fit in here with all the other actual underage kids here. This is really a non-issue here so why don't you both just drop it?

Considering your obnoxious posting style of calling actual adults "grandpa", it's pretty obvious that you are in fact acting like a retard.

I can only assume that it was even worse when you were underage.

Why you lumped me together with him? I just thought it was funny because an oldfag was called out by an newfag which is funny in my book

and dead is the best place it could be

doesn't make them not true though

>muh dezaki

NGE marks the beginning of late 90s. There may be some overlap, with early 90s perhaps reaching into 96 or so for some anime, but early 90s is marked by economic crisis in Japan and a strong decline in anime industry. Then anime was saved in 1995 by Evangelion, which marked the beginning of the late 90s. I guess it's true that NGE wasn't influenced by Evangelion, so in some ways we can probably include it in early 90s.

I haven't really seen much early 90s anime, but you can also include Video Girl Ai (pretty good), Aa Megami-sama (complete shit), Record of Lodoss War (generic), Iria Zeiram the Animation (boring) and I think that's what I've seen

>doesn't make them not true though
It's like a random faggot watching a top 50 imdb list, and naming those movies as the only significant ones from their respective decades.

You do understand it's a place for discussion and you can definitely stay here in your 40+ if you want to. There is nothing wrong with that.

It's place where you decide to stay.

Do you really think everything works like magic and then everyone leaves a certain place just because of their age? Fuck off normalshit

>Madoka Magica was 25 years ago
fuck

nice meme

>Considering your obnoxious posting style of calling actual adults "grandpa"
Did I hit a nerve? That remark was not to be taken seriously, user. I thought years of casually calling people fags and telling people to kill themselves would make you more thick skinned, user.

I'm not the guy you responded to in the first place.
But you're not making a very good case for yourself.

You faggots pretending to be shocked and acting all dramatic over time passing are the worst.

>NGE was 20 years ago
No shit.

>ignoring 1998
>ignoring 2007

how shit is your taste?

Your perception of time changes as you grow older.

someones clearly a"thatanimesnob" fag

>>NGE was 50 years ago
Where did the time go?

Yes, I know. I'm 25. But it's always the same shit in every thread of this nature.

>I know
>I'm 25
It's gonna get much worse.
Trust me.

Memes aside, this. 2009 is probably the cutoff year. It was the first year to undergo the consequences of the economic crisis, which forced the industry to adjust by taking less risk and making more pandering shit and source material promotional shit. The problems that made Ghibli hibernate, Manglobe shut-down and Murayama leave Madhoue, started this year too.

2008-2007 were the last years we could get shit like Kaiba, Shigurui, TTGL, Dennou Coil, Mouryou no Hakou, Mitchiko to Hatchin, Tetsuam Birdy, Casshern, Mononoke and Redline have budgets.

There are few exceptions that confirm the rule, like stuff made by studios and artists who haven't prostituted themselves yet : Bones' Space Dandy, TMS' Lupin, Yuasa, who is still impressive even if it's just under-budgeted adaptations, etc...

It was the year of Bakemonogatari, K-On and E8.

Can't get worse than this, 15 years old felt like yesterday. But now I'm being melodramatic like you faggots.

It's like you're really an ataridad from /vr/.

>Implying most of the original userbase wasnt underrage at the time

>Madoka Magica will be 25 years ago one day
And I will be there to laugh as Madokafags will experience the pain they inflicted on older mahou shoujo fans.

>not being born in 1993
It's like you don't enjoy being born in the best year

LE EBIN EVANGELION SUCKS MAYMAY REEEEEEE

Well im in my 30s, job and with a 3dpd. Guess il die with you guys here in Sup Forums.

How old are you guys?

Drink bleach dipshit.

I'm 22 and I came here last November.
Hate on.

I don't really give a shit how long someone has been here. What matters is the quality of their posts. So don't shitpost and you're fine in my book.

you are supposed to lurk at least 30 years before posting
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>what is Yu Yu Hakusho
>what is Irresponsible Captain Tylor
>what is Slam Dunk

>So don't shitpost and you're fine in my book.

Y-you know we're on Sup Forums, r-right?

I guess you pouring all of your shitty semen into that 3dpd onahole

Scratch that up 10 more years.

Wasn't Madoka supposed to be forgotten in a year after it aired because it was so insignificant?

It is already starting to get forgotten. Anything that popular will remain visible in the community for a while, but we have reached the point where Haruhi is more relevant than Madoka. It will still be remembered 25 years after it aired, but possibly only as "something that used to be popular", and may only primarily be watched by people who are interested in anime fandom history. It'll end up somewhere between where Gundam and Ah My Goddess are today, both former populars that are irrelevant outside their past.

I'm 18 and I started browsing Sup Forums in 2004

I used some awful comparisons here.Ah My Goddess is shit, and Gundam is still forced by the owner companies, has a greater historical relevance, and is less good than Madoka.
Was thinking Love Hina, but it'll never have any qualities that will make people want to watch it in the future, unlike Madoka, which will keep its strengths (unless it gets superior clones, but then it actually gets some historical relevance).
Slayers?

2011 (2007 is best year)

What are you even talking about? You think once you turn 30 you suddenly become a 3DPD-loving well-adjusted guy?

>Gundam
>less good than Madoka
Shit like SEED Destiny, sure, but the best entries > Madoka, easily.
