Is that Rand-sama's extra thicc ass?

Not going to defend shit. He didn't even take a slippery slope to get to hat point, he just base jumped without a parachute. The people at the hospital aren't slaves because they get paid regardless if the healthcare is free or not, nothing changes for them. I have no idea where he gets the idea that doctors would be forced to work since that doesn't happen in the socialized health care we have already (Veteran Hospitals)

It's possible

>veteran hospitals

Boy, you really know how to highlight the pure shittiness of socialized medicine.

filtering this flag for good. its been fun handing out free (you)s but ffs. if you dont have Sup Forums x, get it, and filter democrat flag. you will thank me.

nothing wrong with the post

That's a libertarian thing, son. Get your ideologies straight nigga.

Yes, but it still proves him wrong.

Libertarian=right wing in America
Also Rand Paul is republican

>b-but muh liberty

No it does not. A tight is something you are entitled to. If someone else has to pay in order for you to get healthcare it's not a right, it's a handout, entitlement, perk etc.
None of the other rights cost anyone anything. His argument is that if healthcare were a right, no one would have to pay to provide it. It would be universally free, and that includes to the taxpayer. In order for that to happen you would literally have to enslave the doctor as he stated.
Failing to understand the distinction between rights and not rights is a key deficiency in people who think they have a right to free gibsmedats.

He's correct. What do you object to?
>right to bear arms
Yes, you have the right to purchase a gun voluntarily. You don't get one automatically from gibs.
>right to healthcare
Yes. You have the right to purchase healthcare voluntarily. You don't get it automatically from gibs.

That is never how it plays out in free healthcare countries, you start by providing money for the universal healthcare i.e. making everyone pay up
You don't automatically pay for a gun like with universal healthcare

His point being as is yours, that there isnt sucj thing as FREE health care, and if there was and it was an inalienable right, people in the industry would essentially be slaves.

what you mean like the draft or something? cuz the government can coerce people into conscription if it wants too.

>making everyone pay up
What if I literally smoke a pack of cigs a day and don't want any fucking healthcare? Do I have a right to opt out? Why do you get to force me to pay for other people's well being?

>you don't automatically pay for a gun
Please explain why it's any less an infringement of my rights if you automatically steal money out of my paycheck as opposed to kicking my door in and taking it out of my wallet?

He makes a good point.

He's saying in the legal sense having "the right to free healthcare" would demand that physicians have to help you. Not exactly the whole system of socialized healthcare.

Ok first of all the draft is probably unconstitutional but SCOTUS won't declare it during a draft because otherwise according to the government's lawyer we'll lose the war.

Second, it's highly unlikely any President will ever bring back the draft.

Third, even if there was a draft and the government forcibly conscripted people against their will in violation of 13th amendment protections against involuntary servitude, there would still be due process because the government is sovereign and can unilaterally determine that the severe state of emergency requires conscription and end-around by saying "it's a crime to not serve, therefore those who aren't serving are criminals and are no longer protected by the 13th". Everything has to do with the state of emergency created by the wartime threat.

If you still feel like that's bullshit; I agree and you're probably a lolbertarian/ancap like me so we already agreed with Rand.

Ongoing healthcare has nothing to do with an emergency wartime measure.

The point of universal healthcare is to not have an opt out, it is the only way to get a stable healthcare system which works better and is cheaper(!) than what the anerican government has to spend on healthcare now

duh free healthcare would imply forcing tons of hyper intelligent and highly educated people to slave away servicing are least responsible and most useless citizens

There's nothing wrong with what he said.

Having a "right to healthcare" implies that you are entitled to force someone to do work for you AKA slavery.

>t. brainlet

>american government spends on healthcare
How about the american government spend 0 on healthcare and follow the 10th amendment like it should.

>the only way to get a stable healthcare system is to deny opt outs for healthy individuals
This isn't stable, cheaper or more efficient/better. It's stupid for people who are not likely to suffer from any major ailments to have to pay for insurance policies they are unlikely to use. You are using them to subsidize the costs of people who's healthcare is expensive, and often uneconomical. Simply put, the value of the 60 year old black female with the beetus and heart conditions that works part-time at the DMV to supplement her welfare check is not that fucking high. She's not worth spending the money on to take care of from an economic perspective, and certainly not worth confiscating money from a 27 year old graduate student in great health. It is mathematically demonstrable that universal healthcare is uneconomical; I hope the previous example motivated that proof. The most likely argument you want to retort with is that "how could you just convert living conscious beings into cold numerical calculations like a disgusting kike.patriarch". First, you are now the exact people you hate. Second, I'm able to do it because I'm a high IQ scientist, unlike you *burp* Morty.

I'd support a single-payer healthcare system if the US were a white ethnostate. If you white liberal bugpeople want your precious socialist healthcare and education system bullshit, you have to give us white ethnostate. It's the only compromise we're willing to make.

>poisons the well
>insists everyone drinks
Rational people will defend it. Go fuck yourself.

Not sure where this stream of consciousness went

You have a righ to healthcare is the same as right to think and right to defend yourself. It’s a right that comes with life and being able to stay alive. Doesn’t mean other people have to pay for it, but you should not be stopped from being able to get it if you want. Only place they stop you from getting healthcare is a state controlled system that rations healthcare.

It is weird that such a small human being, can contain so much truth.

Are you fucking retarded? If doctor provided healthcare is a right to which everyone is entitled, then doctors and nurses are obligated to provide care whether or not they are compensated accordingly.

so based

This isn't stable, cheaper or more efficient/better. It's stupid for people who are not likely to suffer from any major ailments to have to pay for insurance policies they are unlikely to use.

Is it easier to read in reddit spacing?

Lol, you're advocating slavery.

>Doesn't know the what the term "rights" means

It is cheaper, you do know the us spends the most per capita on health care in the world right? Also not all people being sick is kind of the point of universal healthcare too as there will always be a doctor shortage but thanks to the additional money that also keeps everyone on equal footing they can help those in need instead of only those who can afford it. Without it this can't work. A health care system that really works efficiently can't work if tgere is an opt out because then most people will (unwisely) opt out.
Also you just kind of list me with the rick and morty shit.
It's also 2 AM here so might have to continue this discussion in another thread sometime

fact: Rand paul is, presently, the only worthwhile senator in office,

>what is cuba
nigga they don't even have advil there

>who is me

[shitposts violently]

You didn't respond to the point I was raising. Let me make it simpler.

1. The US healthcare system has NEVER been entirely free market in post WW2 history. Don't use it as an example of free market healthcare; I guarantee more people would be left out in the cold with absolutely no options in a free market.

2. Everyone is not equal. Some people have higher genetic pre-disposition to heart disease, diabetes, alcoholism and smoking, etc.

3. We want healthy people because they make GDP go up more than sick people. If making sick people healthy again causes GDP to go down, then it is not worth making them healthy.

4. You don't get to determine that the person was "unwise" for opting out. They don't want to pay for a service they don't need. Do you pay for the Filipino and Bollywood channels on your cable subscription? It would make the cost of Filipino and Bollywood channels cheaper for the people who wanted those channels if everybody had to pay for them.

why u gotta make me cum, user

Works in the uk so why can't it work in the US? Are you admitting the US is below the UK?

Never realized there's a flag filter, thanks.

Rand is a dickhead. He's a fucking ophthalmologist.

we need more men like rand paul in the senate. deal with it, faggot.

Are you on drugs? Ophthalmologist are the pinnacle within medical profession. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ...

>ophthalmologist
So?

Mike Lee ain't bad.

Does OP want only poo and nig doctors? Because that's how you get only poo and nig doctors.

>you must perform job or you will be violated
>leftists think this isn't slavery

>1pbtID

can you help me get rich by bitcoin fellow ancap?

>1. The US healthcare system has NEVER been entirely free market in post WW2 history. Don't use it as an example of free market healthcare; I guarantee more people would be left out in the cold with absolutely no options in a free market.

We have plenty of examples of universal healthcare systems that work and for good reason, because once one happened to work everyone jumped aboard. Don't start to mess with stuff that isn't broke

>2. Everyone is not equal. Some people have higher genetic pre-disposition to heart disease, diabetes, alcoholism and smoking, etc.

And they need doctors, many ailments if treated are well worth it making the citizen healthy again/nit making them a liability to the family

>3. We want healthy people because they make GDP go up more than sick people. If making sick people healthy again causes GDP to go down, then it is not worth making them healthy.

Trash production and pollution make GDP go up, GDP is not an accurate measure of human wellbeing on its own, also again, it is cheaper.

>4. You don't get to determine that the person was "unwise" for opting out. They don't want to pay for a service they don't need. Do you pay for the Filipino and Bollywood channels on your cable subscription? You don't get to pick and choose whether you pay for the fire brigade or the police either. It is a central point of taxation that you don't get to pick and choose. Healthcare would fall under this umbrella of services.

its true though

right to service necessarily means forced labor

right to "force" a person is forced labor

rights are freedoms FROM government not freedom to eforce labor.

if you are a liberal too stupid to understand let me illustrate the things fascists are gonna do to your family

no one is your slave. try it and die

It's an appreciating asset since more people are trading in it as the days go by - it'll likely continue appreciating.

What would happen in the case of economic collapse (which is much more possible than most realize)? Would people be denied their basic human rights if they could not afford (and no other funding were available) to pay said physicians? In such a case, the slavery in which Dr. Paul speaks would become a reality.

w-where is the kids body?

hyperbole is for children

no. it occurs in the form of higher income taes

in all ancient civs military campaigns got funded by forcing peasants to break their backs. uni health is the modern form.

fed to his communist parents before they also lost their heads

all socialists must die

>You don't automatically pay for a gun like with universal healthcare
I would fully support every law abiding citizen in the country receiving a free gun paid for through taxation.

they don't NEED doctors. that's where you're wrong kiddo. going to the doctor is a privilege. insurance is there to be a net discount on your healthcare purchasing. it's not there cuz "muh everyone need healthcarez"

as i said, cuba doesn't even have advil over the counter. thank socialism for that. oh wait, did you think venezuela had it any better?

your fascination on the europea socialized healthcare is a 100% voluntary thing, and their countries are very small, and 90% ethnically homogenous. we don't want to be like them. we are america. they are not. we whooped germany's ass in both world wars
you have the ability to make a coalition of your fellow socialists and pay for other people's healthcare. it's called charity.

should i buy one then? and sell it in a year?

literally too smart to win

You'd probably make money on it.

This seems to be a weird cultural artifact if america but times are changing and people are starting to see the light

>filtering out flags you don't like

scared of having your ideas challenged? enjoy your echochamber you literal dick sucking brainlet

Lol yeah buy ONE. You get a discount if you buy 5 retard.

The way its explained there is a little odd, but its not wrong.

No one has the right to other people's services. Period. This will never change.

>rights are what can't be taken from you and not what you can take from other people

healthcare is not health insurance

The majority of people don't have enough pocket money to buy 5 bitcoins.

>it means you believe in slavery
Of course, but I sure wouldn't want a nigger doctor

give the saas

>Doesn't understand the difference between negative and positive liberty
you cannot reasonably lay a moral claim on material resources or services as a "right". it is not logically sound nor is it consistent in practice.
In the case of the idea of healthcare as a right, vs the right to seek healthcare voluntarily, the former can be "violated" by the simple refusal to work. Like, for example, if every doctor in the US for some reason went on strike tomorrow, then they are depriving the people the "right" to healthcare and if interpretation of such rights were legally backed then it's most likely that the state could legally coerce the doctors to work. Similar to Rand's point, that would be light slave labor or more like indentured servitude but without a contractual agreement.

The ultimate point is to show that arguing for resources or services as a right is what leftists do because the type of rhetoric excites the basic primate portion of their voter bases brains and causes them to be reelected at the continued promise of gibs. All the while though, to actual implement that rhetoric, as if it's a logical principal, into the legal system creates distinction and the actual violation of personal rights in other ways. The only reasonable way to argue for something like single payer healthcare is purely on practical/pragmatic terms, instead of principal type argument which people like Sanders flaunts.

Fucking this

>defend this
What's there to defend? His point stands on it's own.

And? Rand is correct.

>creates distinction
*disfunction

>You don't get to pick and choose whether you pay for the fire brigade or the police either. It is a central point of taxation that you don't get to pick and choose. Healthcare would fall under this umbrella of services.
Taxation is theft; I should be able to opt out of police and fire coverage if I want to; the point of life is to collect shekels and anyone telling you otherwise is a kike trying to take your shekels.

explain. briefly

idk shit about bitcoin

>times are changing
i can speak in cliches too, this means nothing. you know if doctors were paid less this would all fix itself right? oh but it takes years of studying and it's super hard ability to heal people consistently. this is what you don't understand. try telling a doctor to bust his ass for years, dedicate his life to healing people and not being recompensated for it. the reason healthcare is expensive is because the labor demanded is SCARCE. if you GUARANTEE people that they will have healthcare, you are forcing labor from these healers.

You have the right to buy health care
You have the right to buy guns
Neither are free

Leftists eyes glaze over when you utilize sound reasoning in arguing against their idiocy.

Bitcoin is probably going to appreciate some between now and a year from now. So you'd make money buy buying one now and selling it then.

>see the light
I find it ironic that you still associate light & white with good and black & dark with evil.

>America will change
1776 WILL COMMENCE AGAIN.

He's 100% right, OP. Time to off yourself.

It's really a grill... rite?

Well written.

*sips*

i see what you mean. i misunderstood you

I'm not sure, nationalizing the fire brigade was one of the best things rome ever did because Crassus

Replace all the doctors, nurses and janitors with ai and robots. Then healthcare can be free.

you don't get it retard. rights are inherent. the government doesn't provide people with rights, it only avoids infringing them.

Part of your argument is fucked because many doctors don't see state healthcare patients because the department never meets its obligations financially, so it in turn just outright dicks the doctor.

T. SomeonewhohasworkedonVAcasesforyears

Pretty good argument.

I'm actually in favor of universal health care but it is NOT a constitutional right. The government doesn't have to do anything for us.

im not a doctor but doesnt their hypocratic oath say something about not turning down a patient in need

yup. they are just in debt to the doctor. they'd have to pay eventually
