At the power levels we're talking, no. And with a memefeng, you'll probably never see any difference. If we were talking much higher wattage, longer cable runs, homemade antennas and so on, there would be a slight disadvantage, but not by much at all.

cool, looking forward to having this new RTL-SDR dongle to play with. having the SDR waterfall ive already found 70cm Simplex conversations that i would of prolly missed just having the baofeng on scanning mode and i usually just have to sitting on the popular repeater nearby so having another thing to scan with will be fun
