In march of 2018 Russia will vote for its new president. More than a quarter of the population has yet to decide who they will vote for.
Do you think Gennady Zyuganov has a chance?
What do we do if the commies win?
What happens if the USSR Returns?
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) is the second largest party, behind Vladimir putins United Russia party. Putin is yet to announce his candidacy and many are predicting a communist come back.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF; Russian: Кoммyниcтичecкaя Пapтия Poccийcкoй Фeдepaции; КПPФ; Kommunisticheskaya Partiya Rossiyskoy Federatsii, KPRF) is a communist and Marxist–Leninist political party in Russia.
The party is often viewed as the immediate successor of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which was banned in 1991 by then-President Boris Yeltsin. It is the second largest political party in the Russian Federation, after United Russia. The youth organisation of the party is the Leninist Young Communist League. The party is administered by the Central Committee.
The CPRF was founded at the Second Extraordinary Congress of Russian Communists on 14 February 1993, as the successor organisation of the Communist Party of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. As of 2015, the party has 570,000 members, that number is predicted to be much higher this year.
The party's stated goal is to establish a new, modernised form of socialism in Russia. Immediate goals of the party include the nationalisation of natural resources, agriculture, and large industries within the framework of a mixed economy that allows for the growth of small and medium enterprises in the private sector.
Bumping with a good article about the party and potential comeback.

Putin said he has to think about whether or not he will run. The CPRF Has also grown in size immensely since 2012, do you think theres any chance there could be CPRF surge and Gennady could win?
>Gennady Zyuganov in 2018 will not go to the polls, wrote "Novaya Gazeta" referring to sources in the Communist Party.
Zyuganov is old. His participation not confirmed too.
Eli Rogers
Interesting. What are your thoughts on Zhirinovsky's chances of winning? And how about Alexei Navalny?
Benjamin Reyes
>CPRF >Winning Pick one.
Jackson Brooks
I just wanted to bait replies to get people talking about the 2018 russian elections. The threat of communism is the only thing that will get most poltards talking.
Hunter Martin
There is not much to talk abuot. Putin or his proxy will win in the first tour. And modern CPRF is communist in name only.
Of Course I will vote for Vladmiri Putin, the recently discovered twin brother of our beloved president.
Ian Jenkins
>communist in name only. So they are like China then? Also what about that blonde qt 3.14
Evan Torres
While China is not communist, the vanguard Communist Party of China rules. You are obviously uneducated in theory. To achieve socialism you first need capitalism, this is what Marx said. The idea is not to go full communist (no state, no money, no class). The idea is to work towards socialism (which Lenin identified as the lower form of communism), and ultimately communism.
Deng introduced economic reforms for this reason. While of course these policies betrayed the childish idea of the possibility to build socialism quickly in a poor country, they were greatly successful in building wealth and power for China. Today we realize Deng's predictions have become a reality, including that of capitalists bringing their factories and industry to China.

It might work, if they win it will have to play out so we can actually evaluate the situation.

If communism rises again in Russia then the US have another Cold War to justify
Jack Cooper
what do ruskies on Sup Forums think of their commie party?
Cameron Adams
Yeah Russia has had too much economic success lately, they should really elect a communist to reel them back 70 years.

>Implying it won't be Putin again
Brayden Morgan
>Do you think Gennady Zyuganov has a chance?
No, not even a snowballs chance
>What do we do if the commies win?
They won't. Communism doesn't exist in Russia. CPRF is communist in name, like China
>What happens if the USSR Returns?
Never. Only in your dreams
Jacob Torres
>USSR ends >russia climbs out of the economic pit of communism >spends the next 25 years being SANCTIONED by Chad westerners >elects commies to fix the economy >economy tanks >rinse and repeat Russia is a joke
Nathaniel Cook

Also sage Not because you're a shill, but because you're autistic

Our corrupt politicians aren't cucks. They don't play the circus that American elections are. Putin stays.

Armageddon. putin has fallen to the same thing every Russian dictator had fallen prey to. there isn't anyone close to his prowess, influence and power to fill his shoes. they will collapse for 20 years until a new leader takes the reigns violently
