Good, hopefully it won't be popular with EOP normalfags.

>SHAFT will animate the OVA.
>october 26
All information I need.
What's eop?

Man, I've got a box full of those in the attic.

Vol.1 would easily be adapted into a movie but that's impossible since Shaft is busy with Kizu

Well, the official website has artworks of various volumes.

So it's an OVA series, maybe a little bit like Katanagatari was 60min but aired monthly.

8 ova episodes per month for Kubikiri Cycle

Will Shaft ever produce something for a mere night time slot ever again?

Worst fears come to live, best Nishio work being slaugthered by anime adaptation.

Should have made live action instead. Boukyaku Tantei Live Action is best adaptation of his books so far.

Boukyaku Tantei > Katanagatari > Medaka Box > shit > Monogatari in terms of adaptation quality

Maybe Fate/EXTRA Last Encore

The novels aren't going anywhere, fag. Nobody's forcing you to read the inevitable threads after the OVA is released.

You can become filthy rich

Very

fucking anime only shaft fags

Dude, apparently it's one OVA per chapter of Kubikiri, with one being released every month. What makes you think this is gonna be slaughtered?

It just deserve a better adaptation. Anime format on itself is bad for it, since you inevitable have to cut lot of stuff and narration - unless you go Katanagatari format with 50 minutes of talking.

Shaft doing it is even worse, since Shaft doesnt care about source one bit and will just make a meme slideshow with black scenes and text flashes.

What criteria are you using to judge them?

Fuck

This isn't monogatari though and it isn't 2008. It's an OVA series at probably the best pace possible. Stop bullshitting Shaft doesn't care about the source material, they did pretty well with the constraints of the anime format and money they had while being Aniplex's slaves.

Faithfulnes of transmiting the main appeal of the novels - Nishio language and writing, into the other medium.

Zeregoto is also Nishios best work and a mystery genre - which Okitegami Kyouko adaptation mastered great, meanwhile expecting the same from Shaft is unrealistic.

That's a bad wig.

White Fox proven that Shaft`s way is not the only way to adapt the novels into anime, and that Shaft s approach is inferior. So no argument.

Stop, Kyoko was good but it felt rushed too.

Everything has the cringeworthy Japanese tv drama touch.

Espencially when they tried to replicate some Bakemonogatari visuals in the first case as homage.

Really? Thanks for pointing it!

>a complete series that was released monthly
I agree it adapted the novels better but the comparison is silly. Of course it was more faithful, it wasn't constrained by the standard TV anime release.

I still have PTSD of that street crossing scenes with all the white cars.

Shit doesn't work if your budget is so low that you can only lease three white cars.

>Yuki Kaji: as Ii-chan
jewplex dont give a fuck

>Akio Watanabe: Character Designer
yeah fuck take's unique designs, lets bring on this hack again

>White Fox's Katanagatari
>good

It was a pretty bad adaptation. The only good things were part of the original source like the dialogues - anything in charge of White Fox was pretty bad.

Character designer isn't confirmed

Honestly, can you imagine a flesh and blood 3DPD human being, a nip no less, capable of playing Aikawa in a way that's not cringey as hell? Holy fuck no.

Kizu > Bake > rest of Monogatari > Katanagatari > Boukyaku Tantei > Medaka Box

Lol, never change neo-Sup Forums.

Let me guess, you're pretending to be retarded?

as much i liked forgetuful detective, acting and not NIsio episode were shit. So no, fuck DRAMA adapation (only akagi was good)

Live action can both be great and awful.

In case of Boukyaku Tantei, Nodame, Chocolatier in Love, Moteki, Kaiji, Gokusen, original Death note (yeas, not joking) etc. - adaptations are great and work superb as live actions and better than anime.

In case of Honey and Clover, GTO, Yamada and Seven Bitches, Detective Conan, xxxHolic, biblia koshodou no jiken techou etc. - its abomination that should be burned with fire.

That applies same way to anime though - it can be both great and shit. Good live action though is generally > good anime unless it is supernatural/special effects stuff - on other hand for romance/mystery/drama/thriller its almost always the case.

>lul lul lul who care's about the thread on Sup Forums
