The will see the headlines of every major news outlet calling Richard a white supremacist and a 2 min clip of the crowd booing Spencer. Which they'll think he deserves.

I'm left wondering how do we get people to really listen to what we have to say when everyone has such an emotional response because they think we're a bunch of jackbooted thugs that want a "peaceful ethnic cleansing?"

The biggest take away I had today was that Spencer is improving on his energetic speech skills. I think he made some sort of transitive shift from an intellectual leader to an actual leader of men (although admittedly still a weak leader of men).

Usually Spencer stays a bit to calm and acts very academic, similarly to Taylor. Today though he was high energy, combating and humiliating the media, energetically rebuking the crowd, and firing up his supporters.

For the first time I actually though he could be the leader of our movement. He has a lot of work to do if he actually wants to inspire masses of people, but he is at least becoming less autistic.

I showed a clip of the speech to my mom, and not only did it totally change her perception of Spencer (which was built up entirely from what she'd heard about him in the media), but she was actually quite receptive to his ideas and said she'd like to hear more.

Although you're right that the message probably won't reach the average person, it CAN have an effect on the people it does reach.
