Throughout my 31 years of life, there has been exactly one woman that I ever considered a true friend, without any familial ties, and without any romantic/sexual interests. We actually talked about it once, saying it was weird, because we were both perfect for each other on paper, but that neither of us had any interest in pursuing a relationship.
