If someone starts shit talking to me and they follow me but I tell them to back off and they continue to follow me while saying that they’re going to fuck me up and I repeatedly tell them to back off and leave me alone, can I legally mace them and claim self defense even though they didn’t lay a finger on me
girl in ops pic just turned a rape into a rape/murder
Xavier Morris
5 magic words.
I feared for my life.
Never ever say more than that.
Anthony Williams
They made a verbal threat to injure you and continued to approach you after you stated displeasure and attempted to remove yourself from the situation. Im not lawyer but I believe you could claim self defence so long as he came threateningly within striking distance with obvious intent to harm you.
Kayden Richardson
WHY DON'T YOU JUST FALL TO YOUR KNEES AND SUCK THEIR COCK LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO?
Noah Harris
That bitch is 100% getting stabbed
Nathaniel Sullivan
>mace them >implying niggers can afford plate armor Get an axe, faggot t. town rapist
Nicholas Carter
You could probably get away with it. Nothing is legal or illegal until someone does it and a court rules on it.
Nolan Russell
Haha.
Hudson Sanchez
cctv is shit unless you're in a casino. take the shaggy defense "it wasn't me" or take the faggot advice a fair few posts above this one of saying you feared for your life and nothing more. Either way you'll be fine provided it can be proved they weren't a threat to your safety and with them following you it's like an animal stalking their prey so it's always going to be an open and shut case.
Aaron Miller
Would you be comfortable calling the police before macing them?
Landon Jackson
technically you can mace somebody that is in your face and making violent threats, but it really helps if they are bigger than you. it also helps to have witnesses showing that you did nothing to provoke them. don't flip them off, insult them, or make threats of your own. you did nothing to provoke, and made it clear that you wanted nothing to do with the confrontation, you maced them because you were in fear of your safety and wanted out of the situation.
Christian Campbell
serious question
why do all indians use insults like i am fucking your mother or sister or wife or i pay them or something along those lines?
Benjamin Thompson
>I did only what was necessary Those are the magic words. "Did you do anything even in your opinion slightly excessive." >not at all bingo, case is out the window. >saying that they’re going to fuck me up You could get them for threatening you.
Aaron Howard
if you had time to call the police, then you probably weren't in enough imminent danger to mace them. if they are just following you, then yes call the police. if they are following you AND making threats, mace the fucker, then call the police.
Adrian Scott
Yes if you feel in danger you can pepper spray them.
Evan Fisher
Texas fag here Same scenario, but can I shoot them instead of mace them?
Evan Collins
that bitch gonna get stabbed. should have just given up the vagene
Daniel Howard
What happens when a girl tries to do that irl then the guy shrugs it off? She’ll think about how gender equality was full of shit.
Hunter Rivera
walk around with a hammer and nails you dumbass, anyone says shit about say you are tim the tool man
Jaxon Hughes
Walk in to the nearest bar If they follow you. Hit them with a bar stool or a glass
Jaxson Clark
RAPE, HELP SOMEONE HELP HE RAPED ME AHHHHHH CALL THE POLICE AHHHH HE RAPED ME SEE *She's hitting herself* AHHHHHHH, *cuts her vagina and anus with her finger nails* AAAAAAAHH REEEEEEEE!!! HE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED ME!!! AHHH!!
Angel Carter
serious question btw someone pls respond
Oliver Green
why are you even talking to cops? just tell them to talk to your lawyer
Jason Morris
Yes mace the cunt and run.
Carter Sanders
If you back yourself into a corner I think you can but it's kind of a grey area. Once they touch you it's game on though.
I used self-defense on a girl actually once because she was hitting me and the police told me to say that I was "backed into a corner". So idk.
Christian Thomas
>If someone starts shit talking to me and they follow me but I tell them to back off and they continue to follow me while saying that they’re going to fuck me up and I repeatedly tell them to back off and leave me alone, can I legally shoot them and claim self defense even though they didn’t lay a finger on me while a verbal thread can be considered assault in Texas, turning around and shooting them probably won't fly unless you have good reason to use deadly force. force=force is what is typically allowed if you're out in public. if someone has a deadly weapon and is brandishing it against you and you reasonably fear for your life, you are allowed to fire away (considering it's self-defense and you didn't put yourself into that situation by provoking someone beforehand)
David Hernandez
But what if they're a huge 6'4 nigger and you're a 150lbs little white boi. Their fists alone could be a deadly weapon against you. If he grabs you, it's too late to pull out your gun, you're already fucked at that point. Your only chance of survival is to act preemptively. Would the courts buy that?
Jose Sanchez
most self defense laws are based on reciprocation of force. an unarmed person threatening to beat you (i.e. threat of non lethal violence) is not, in and of itself, grounds to use lethal force. Zimmerman only got away with it because unarmed Trayvon was actively beating him in a lethal manner. Texas generally only differs from other states in its almost absolute sovereignty of land owners. you don't have to take any shit on your own property, or in the defense of private property

How do you know if your potential attacker is armed or not though? Just because they are not walking toward you with a knife or gun drawn does not mean they don't have one. In Zimzam's case, he was lucky to have been able to use his firearm. Generally, if you're on your back getting pummeled by a larger man, you won't have a chance to draw and shoot him. More likely than not, if you even attempt it at that point, the attacker will just take your gun from you and kill you with it.
"the courts" could mean prosecutor, or it could mean jury. a jury would have to rely on evidence and testimony (of eye witnesses, surveillance cameras, forensics, shit like that). the real question would be if the prosecutor could convince a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you didn't reasonably fear for your life depends on a lot of things i guess by the law, i think theres an expectation that you only use self-defense force equal to the force that is put towards you. if the force put towards you makes you reasonably fear for your life then you are authorized to use deadly force (in public. rules change a little if you're on your own property).
Juan King
>How do you know if your potential attacker is armed or not though? you have to operate based on what you DO know. he isn't holding a weapon, and he isn't threatening to kill you. say he does threaten to kill you, but still not holding a weapon. then there has to an obvious disparity of force for you to use lethal means. this disparity of force is why women generally get away with shooting unarmed attackers but men don't. that, and sexism against men.
somebody that isn't the Hulk, threatening to beat you, is not grounds for lethal force. if he gets you down, and you can demonstrate that you may not have been able to get back up again, then you can shoot him.
that's why I carry both lethal and non-lethal defensive options.
Leo Richardson
Yes
Tyler Campbell
If they threaten you and then approach you, you prettymuch have it in the bag, but the third factor is did you make a reasonable attempt to remove yourself from the situation? That's what they tried to get Zimmerman on, basically arguing that even if Trayvon did threaten him or whatever, that Zimmerman has a duty to retreat and at least attempt to escape the situation before he used force.
If you're a normal looking dude (or if you're a woman you get +100 points) and the "attacker" is some ghetto looking guy, or a guy who has a history of being arrested, and you tell the cops that 1) he threatened your life 2) you told him to go away, 3) you attempted to walk/run away, and then you used force, you'd be 100% fine.
If I were you I would also add in that 4) he said he had a gun or he put his hand in his waistband like he had a gun, and so you reasonably feared for your life.
If you rob a bank or mug someone, you actually get a harsher penalty for saying you have a gun, even if you don't really have a gun. So just lie and say the guy said he was going to shoot you or something similar.
Joseph Mitchell
Thanks One more question: say I did end up shooting someone in the street. Mugger, stalker, whatever, it's done. What's my next step? Do I stay there, call the cops, call a lawyer, go home, what?
Michael Hernandez
This is because in a lot of states, you're not allowed to use force until you've exhausted every option of removing yourself from the situation. If someone says "I'm gonna fuck you up" you are supposed to at least attempt to leave. If you're backed into a corner, you can't leave and can then use force.
Ethan Hernandez
I'd say call the cops first, then call your lawyer. You can always just not talk to the cops and tell them to talk to your lawyer.
Dominic Ortiz
I'd have shot them first time they looked at me.
Ryder Gonzalez
In la, probably not. In liberal cities, you have to flee before you use force. The only way against it is to be stuck in a situation where you can no longer flee, like they had a knife or gun to you. Even then, you still have an obligation to flee. Castle doctrine works if you were at home and your county follows it t. Lawfag with a PhD
Gavin Morris
Read la not NYC, too early. But don't risk it. Run first if no immediate danger in that city if you don't want to be hauled in for assault
Aaron Mitchell
>11 >00 >Dat comment Good work right there
Jayden Rivera
What do I tell cops on the phone? "I just killed someone"? "There's a dead nigger in front of me and I may or may not have shot him"? Can what I say on the phone be used against me?
Juan Smith
>Stop walking >See reaction
If they walk past, go diff direction and lose them If they get in your face, attack them
At that point you can claim you felt threatened and cornered and he was telling you he had a knife in his pocket and you feared for your life.
Luke Gray
Those are big insults in India.
Asher Murphy
Fuck him up and the leave the scene ASAP. Has worked well for me in the past.
Alexander White
are you memeing me you pansy waisted faggot? of course what you say can be used against you. just tell them your location and that you need police/emt and don't give any details.
Gabriel Evans
Of course. Statements like "i am gonna fuck you up" are considered assault.
