I just noticed something

I just noticed something.

Whenever a Shonen anime/manga just ends the main character has a kid.

Dragon Ball: Goku and Chi chi had Gohan.
Dragon Ball Z: Gohan and Videl had Pan.
FullMetal Alchemist: Edward and Winry had two kids.
Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure: Every Joestar has a kid that produced another kid to become the main character for that arc.
Naruto: Naruto and Hinata had Boruto and Himawari.
And the most recently ended
Bleach: Ichigo and Orihime had a kid.

Seriously who started this trend? Are we to expect Luffy, Erin, and Natsu to have a kid when their stories end?

>long-running series often end with epilogues showing characters' kids
Wow, you're really slow on the fucking uptake.

They have to get that birthrate up

>Dragon Ball: Goku and Chi chi had Gohan.

You just answered your own question.

At least that won't happen with HxH, if it ever ends.

Yes Luffy will have a kid with Hancock

>Gon and Kilua has a duaghter, she has Gon's hair just in white.

...

I'm dying waiting for souma and erina's kid.

Uhhhhh

He already has two kids

>tfw when he orders a parfait and then walks off into the sunset shirking all responsibility

Actually he lost me on that one.

Will he be a sweetie?

Hope it's a girl so we get another semen demon. Although admittedly a lot of he guys in the series are prettier than the girls

Most stories have happy endings which often include the heroes/heroines happily married with cute children.

So what you are saying is that they should raise a trap.

I still can't get over how cute Kazui is.

>main character
>kid
Yeah, I wish.

After fighting a godlike monstrosity and armies of villains it's understandable the audience want a comfy feeling after the falling action

Settling down with a love interest and watching their children frolic around with the children of allies does this wonderfully

Bonus points if they're named after some hero who died before or during the final battle years prior

It also opens the door to sequels

It's only like that b/c having a kid fits the whole "happily ever after" gig: It shows that the MC's finally settled down. Also, it leaves room for sequels.

Their last scene together was really cute though.
