Yeah, you need to find a place away from them and a job that pays well enough to support you. The job with decent enough pay to allow you to live outside a major city is the hardest part. Otherwise you will commute into the city and be exposed to it or living in the city and drowning in it.
I chose a job skill that keeps me inside the woods all day, sometimes in a mill, on the road, or in an office. I cannot imagine being stuck in a city or in traffic all day. What a terrible life.
