Tomo-chan

Hey guess what
They're still talking about it
Hope is alive

I want to unhook Tomoe's bra.

Actually talking about there problems.
I can only hope for the best

>Internal introspection from Jun

Holy shit is this the first time we've gotten this from this manga?

nah, at least one other time.

Title: The me who's hunting for Tomo's Thoughts (This title can be interpreted a few different ways)

You're a guy and I'm a girl!

If we're talkin' about physical strength you'd win for sure.

//I know that...
//I should know that
//But...

In that moment I never would have guessed you'd pass the ball

I thought for sure in the end you'd settle it yourself.

//In the end I guess I might just be a kid playing games (ゲームっ子 not sure what the other TL has been using for this phrase)

//who feels more confident standing next to you...

//Not physical strength...

What's up? You stopped walkin...

It's... It's nothin'

//I wanna to be more like you...

Is it happening?
I think it's happening

Title: (real talk I have no idea how to properly translate this into english and make it sound good so I'll just explain it: it's a pun on the phrase "a fox who borrows the authority of a tiger", as in someone who acts tough through authority he's borrowed, like the trope of the pussy second-in-command who acts like he's hot shit because his boss is powerful, so it's "Me who borrows the authority of Tomo")
Panel 1:
Tomo: You're a guy, and I'm a girl! If it's a physical competition, obviously you're gonna be stronger.
Jun: (I get it...I get it, but despite that...)
Panel 2:
Jun: (During the match, I didn't think you would pass it to me at all. I thought you were going to be the one to end it for us.)
Panel 3:
Jun: (After all this, I'm still only strong because I'm next to you. I guess I'm still just a game boy...)
Panel 4:
Jun: (It's not about physical strength...)
Tomo: What's wrong? You stopped walking.
Jun: Oh...it's nothing.
Jun: (I want to become like you.)

So, Jun is basically saying he got stronger for the sake of catching up to Tomo, but physical strength isn't enough?

Neat.

I've done shit for over a year now and today is the first time I legitimately don't want to do it anymore. I should just draw giant white boxes instead of redrawing. Not like anyone cares when they read it in 10 seconds.

I feel you. You can overlay the text and just whiteblur out the rest, probably the best compromise

thanks

Why don't you want to do it anymore?

well, that redraw job looks like quite the affair

Take up a trip and soak up all that attention.

fuck i missed the 気が in panel 3

well, panel 2 is a pian though. some extra-vertical text would help/

Jun doesn't admire her strength, he admires her skill and natural ability.

and her genki abilities.

Ido why but this reminded me of that video from a few years ago.

It was in mspaint and it was a guy going "hey what anime should I watch" and there was the guy going "EE-VAN-GELION ITS THE PINNACLE OF JAPANESE ANIMATION NO OTHER SERIES CAN COMPARE" and the thread delves into chaos.

does anyone know what it was called?

jun basically feels like a fraud and that he's the same loser kid he always was. he looks up to tomo after all these years and wants to be like her. that's probably why prospects of romantic or sexual attraction to her fuck with him so much

I'm getting hardcore Shimoneta vibes here.

This.

He feels like he's been trying to be more like Tomo the whole time so the prospect of Tomo falling for "him" when he doesn't feel like he's really accomplished anything other than following after Tomo seems strange.

If they would just TALK he'd probably realize that Tomo likes him for him and not just because he's strong.

i wonder if he thinks that falling in love with her or wanting to fuck her would be disrespectful to her considering how much of a pedastal he seems to put her on

Why would the author just break the sexual tension like that...

>If they would just TALK
That would require her to talk about why he's a good guy, and assuming she doesn't confess again, that's a hard setup. The kind that puts series on for another couple years.

>Tomo talks about why he's a good guy
>She lists positive traits ane experiences she's had with him
>Segues into physical description
>Her face when

just paste harambe's face from that panel and recolor.

>Jun starts talking why Tomo is a good girl without any mood set in mind
>Jun's about to start listing body traits
>Looks at boobs
>Punches himself in the face

I'm getting nervous about this faggots, but also hope that the story is moving into a deeper direction.

Damn! It's so hard to relate to this guy. This is the conclusion I came up with too. He suffers from a very severe inferiority complex. I don't think any relationship between them could ever work.

He'll probably be constantly terrified of her leaving him.

>ch 400 soon
>going towards it with this

Is that faggot finally going to do it?

>He'll probably be constantly terrified of her leaving him.
This is a real life problem a lot of dudes have. Even if they women they are with genuinely love them. They themselves may feel like they still do not deserve her. I've felt that way when I was younger. It is a personal hurdle you have to get over yourself.

>refuses to let himself get in a relationship with Tomo
>resigns himself to dating Misuzu because he feels like he deserves a shitty girlfriend like her
NTR soon, lads

Ohh! I wish. Maybe that will make him wake up a bit.

So how does this all fit with the theory that he doesn't want a repeat of what happened with dating Misuzu?

So not only wanting to train to catch up with Tomo, and actually beat her. He tried dating a friend like Misuzu to see how things would work out afterwards. It turned sour, and he even thinks he will never be good enough for Tomo, and would still never risk dating her to ruin their friendship.

This has to many layers.

Is this progress? Are we finally moving forward?

In order to become more like Tomo, Jun is going to start wearing girls' clothing and become a trap.

i think jun should hold tomo in the hand with his hand and marry her TB h

...

I just want to see them furiously raping each other in bed for hours on end.

It'll be like the Olympic Village in that bedroom.

YOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH

...

I think scanlator-kun might have given up

NOOO TOMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

rest in piece tommy chang

This feels like boku-girl all over again. Both Areus and the group who translates the chapter just gave up about 3/4 of the way in.

Maybe scanlator-san is getting some good pussy and we just have to wait his return. Lets be optimistic here guys

>actual plot development starts happening
>scanlations give up
the absolute madmen

I guess this is it then. This manga is dead.

these dubs are live though

Where's Carol?

On my bed

>actual plot development
>the same jun questioning himself page we've seen a hundred times

Post 50.

So don't do it then. Life is so much easier when you realize you are just another cog wheel that can be replaced at any time.

fuck off then you drama queen

This redraw is fucking babies compared to shit you have to do for certain doujins. Just use white blur if you're lazy.

Just use white textboxes. You censored a hand for a joke for fuck's sake. You think the audience would mind?

Just upload
then.

This is really interesting. This is the most direct insight into Jun's struggle we've ever received, up till now we've only gotten really superficial stuff out of him. This is shockingly direct and literal, and it gives a lot of revealing context to his previous actions.

>Tomo: You're a guy, and I'm a girl! If it's a physical competition, obviously you're gonna be stronger.

>Jun: I get it...I get it, but despite that...
He understands what Tomo is saying on an intellectual level, but it doesn't match his feelings.

>During the match, I didn't think you would pass it to me at all. I thought you were going to be the one to end it for us.
>After all this, I'm still only strong because I'm next to you. I guess I'm still just a game boy...
The cognitive dissonance Jun is experience paralyzes him. He's hung up on the Tomo of his youth, the superhero, the bro, the friend, while he is being forced to acknowledge Tomo the woman, the physically weaker being, the girl who loves him. He is scared that the new Tomo heralds the death of the old Tomo. This is the reason that whenever they are together he attempts to recapture their youth, but it's never the same as it was. There's a lot of mono no aware going on here.

>It's not about physical strength...
It's about self-confidence, maturity, knowing thyself.

>I want to become like you.
Jun wants to be able to grow up, he wants to be courageous enough to embrace the future before him, confident enough to set down the past, mature enough to respond sincerely to Tomo's confession.

We've certainly been told most of these things before, but this chapter really removes a lot of doubt.

I still think that Jun knew in the first chapter. Also I feel the need to point out that I totally called that shit was gonna go down. Not that it wasn't fairly apparent if you were paying attention.

When Jun finally defeat Tomo, hes going to see her as a girl?

Probably, yes.

>implying he ever will

He doesn't accept victories through gendered physique advantage.

>The cognitive dissonance Jun
Some of that fits, but Jun clearly believes her passing was the better option. Tomo strengthened his inferiority complex with her brilliant play.

So does this mean Jun is a sub?

Whether he knows it was is sort of irrelevant, because his actions show that he didn't feel it was in the moment. This is the reason he sacrificed himself to keep her in the game, because his instincts told him that she was their only chance, that she was more qualified to take on Harambe, and Tomo is now obviously making the point that that is not the case.

Why has no one uploaded the scanlation yet? I had to do it, and come up with an unfunny file name for it too.

That's where we disagree. Jun isn't tricking himself to see Tomo as better, and her better judgement in the Harambe match confirmed his feelings. That's why he's still feeling like a "Game Boy", like she's still far beyond him.

The way I read it is that Tomo was clearly one step ahead of everyone (including Jun) and Jun is lamenting the fact that he never would've thought to go for such a move in that situation. He's able to go strength-against-strength on anyone but Tomo is just a cut above everyone in instinct and skill. That's the type of competitor he aspires to be.

good job on the harambe redraw

What the fuck you mean Jun?

We badly need more of Jun's internal monologues.

Really good indeed. I'm convinced though that the mangaku artist keeps a clean version for translation.

>same old game boy as we were kids
Thanks for trying.

I'm not sure if it's lost in translation but i'm not really seeing any romantic undertones here. I think Jun just wants to be a lot more mature without relying on Tomo as a measuring stick.

Maybe. To me it makes more sense if it's about him not having as much confidence in himself as he should. I think the point is that Tomo has more confidence in him than he does himself, and that the underlying reason is his latent feeling of inadequacy when confronted with Tomo.

Nah, he wants to be a girl. Tomo had a cross-dressing arc, now it's Jun's turn.

There weren't any to begin with. Jun has pure admiration, practically idolatry for Tomo, that's why the thought of romance weirds him out so much.

He should have more confidence, but I don't think he sees that himself going by his dialogue.

He wants to be the little girl.
ONE OF US!

Tomo's a big girl.

Is the solution here for Tomo to dress as a man and confess again?

Very arigatoful

>Tomo-chan wa onnanoko

My god, it was there all along.

>myspace

Does Jun want to become a trap?

Jun becomes a girl

Jun-kun wa Onnanoko

jun turning into qt trap confirmed

...

Could it be that Jun is a more complex character than we could have possibly guessed?

I still go by the theory that Jun has been completely aware of what he's been doing the whole time.

>in denial of his own feelings

Not complex enough, we must go DEEPER.

Jun confessed to Tomo right after they started high school but Tomo didn't understand.

>Jun confesses to Tomo, but she thinks it's just another "I love you bro" moment
POTTERY

Yes. She'll have to do Jun in the ass while telling him how worthless he is.

this is turning into feminist propaganda
