Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199

Just finished watching Yamato.

Holy shit was Mamoru the true hero of the show?
>Gets captured but escapes
>Deathly injured still manages to bang the queen anyway
>Gotta tap dat ass
>Brother's waifu a kill
>Gotta help little bro tap that ass
>Fuck Earth rezzes little bro's waifu

>tfw you'll never have an onii-chan like that
Feels bad man.

Now watch the original.

I don't dislike old anime but the original is from the 70s I don't know if I can go that far back.

ED bump.

Stop being a pleb and watch it

But it's not as good. The brother literally survives in the old version, which is laughable writing.

Thanks. One more reason not to see the old one.

The quality and design are too top notch for me. I can't go back. What I loved so much was the sheer variety of designs and how colorful everything was. I loved everything from the tanks and IFVs to the fat space suits, the aircraft, it feels comfy.

>Brother survives is laughable writing
>Brother is a ghost who manages to revive the dead in the remake isn't laughable writing
Fucking secondaries.

2199 is better in almost every single way.

Sup Secondary

>Japan fired first
>Genderbent crew members
>Fanservice
>Shitty CG
>The Garmilas have more character than the humans
>Dessler is a cuck
>better

"Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

In this case I can accept this hand wave.

>implying
At least add periods, shitposter.

Most of those aren't even negatives, it's a remake. The captain is a dumbass, but it's better than him biting the bullet earlier on.

You're replying to the worst type of nostalgiafag; an idiot who claims old is better solely because it's older and being completely devoid of legitimate reasons.

The only thing I didn't like about 2199 was the "robots have feelings too" episode.

I didn't dislike it, but I can understand why you would think that.

Misaki was clearly the best girl then.

>They're not negatives because I say so
Okay
>nostalgiafag

I watched Yamato four years ago and it is better than 2199. The people who say its better are retards who are too autistic to watch older anime or people who just like the PWETTY GRAPHIX

>Space Battleship Yamato 1974
Literally the greatest anime show of all time. A truly beautiful and ambitious show, tastefully done and with a good message.

>Space Battleship Yamato 2199
Bullshit that panders to waifufags with no standards.

What happened?

>Its okay when 2199 does it

I would have given (You) a (You) if you got those quads. Shame.

I bet you fags prefer older HxH too.

>The people who say its better are retards who are too autistic to watch older anime
Case and point, this is an idiotic nostalgiafag.

And thanks for proving my point secondary

The term secondary has always been a ridiculous thing to point out. Chances are that most of the titles you have seen are not the original source material. It's just easy but bad shitposting. Step your game up.

Sasuga Secondary

Fine, here is (You)r (You).

Sorry OP, Yamato is a pretty nice series, but it can get shitposted to oblivion if you're not careful.

>but it can get shitposted to oblivion if you're not careful.

Well you learn new things everyday. I recently came off of LOGH and wanted to watch something more modern. This webm convinced me. LOGH is great but you won't find this level of detail in ships and machines.

Is this a PS1 game?

Watch the show mang. Eps 15 or something.

>People calling you a faggot for not watching the original and praising the inferior remake
>shitposting
Okay

It's okay if the technology porn makes me hard, right?

i didnt know people did that before FMA

Anybody want some blueberry pie?

>There are people who don't like both
They both have there merits
The original had a better art style and message
2199 had a more coherent story and better pacing

>and message
Do elaborate.

Watching the Original isn't a bad idea, but don't let stupid elitists fool you, 2199 is much better.

Dead brother >>>>>>>>>>>> Surviving brother, that's a fact.

Not that guy but:
"The courage to disobey orders if you believe them to be wrong, remaining true to yourself." Okita.

>Think about the Yamato
>WW2
>Think about Imperial Japan

Oh.

I remember that in 2199.

Unfortunately, it doesn't answer my question about the original having "a better message". That's something idiots who don't know what they're talking about tend to say.

The original was about how struggling to survive could lead people to do horrible things, like how Dessler was terraforming Earth in order to save his own race, and how the Yamato crew commits genocide against them by destroying their home planet to get the Cosmo Cleaner. It had a lot of WWII vibes which makes sense given the period it was made during. 2199 on the other hand had a more commonly held modern theme about how war should be avoided and even put some of the blame on the humans for starting the war. To me, it made less of a politcal statement than the original, which is why I thought the original message was better.

Yes please.
