Obscure manga

Let's talk about manga that you don't see discussed often. For example, pic related is a nice body swapping murder mystery. Seems like it's ending soon, too.

>nice
There's a reason why no one gives a shit about it.

Don't be like those pretentious save he whales hipsters who go after unpopular series; just because they're not popular like you are and feel sorry for them.

If it's not performing well, it isn't. Putting out a series or anything is hard work. There's really no magic formula at the professional level; that's how these things go.

>go after unpopular series
Never even knew it was unpopular until you said it.

>Hipsters
Sometimes a series isn't popular because it doesn't have a good PR team, ever think about that?

I'd rather have a thread like this where I can find something new, than yet another circlejerk thread about an existing popular series.

>MC wants to be a woman

Oh look another Wandering Son degenerasy

MXG is obscure?

Two-volume story about a timid girl moving to a seaside town and making friends with a smidge of family drama and also mermaids. Clean and cute art style and a mysterious atmosphere.

Get on it, boys.

Anyone remember that manga where there were these young lesbians in a world of only women, and there's this other society of only boys, but they need a girl to keep their population going? Might not be remembering everything correctly, but I remember the main character being fascinated by dicks. It's really hard to Google.

>obscure

at least post something obscure

Okay, I'll shill for Saki: badminton edition a bit.
Only first 2 chapters are translated and by Japanzai out of all the groups. Currently 8 volumes are out. It's famous for drastic changes of MC's personality. Other highlights: MC trashes weak opponents and can be quite handsome at times, cute tomboy-rival, dozens of tanoshii.

...

Never seem Sup Forums talk about it.

How can Sachi be X? I don't get it.

Kento Ankokuden Cestvs

Cestus, a young slave, fighting for his freedom as a bare knuckle gladiator studying under a legendary gladiator who fought and drawed with the head of the imperial guards in the Roman era.

Only 1 volume (out of 15) is translated last I checked.

Honestly it seems like romanesque arena fights would make for a great manga. afaik this is the only one that touches that subject

Psychometrer Eiji

He doesn't do well at school. He has no girlfriend. But he has never lost a fight. He is a typical high school delinquent. And his name is Eiji Asuma. True, he has special powers, but he keeps them to himself. You see, he can read incidents and memories from the past when he touches people or things. Yes, he has psychometric powers. Ryoko Shima, an expert profiler finds out about Eiji's powers and puts an end to his ordinary life as a high school student. Persuaded by Shima's charm, Eiji starts helping her investigation into an unsolved homicide. Further mysteries ensue.

This one has a bunch of volumes translated (like 15+) though it's still only half done last I checked. Also has a sequel. It's a neat murder mystery manga and one of my favs. Up there with Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and Tajuu Jinkaku Tantei Psycho for me personally.

Kenji.

it is Hanekoi Lion?

Nope, Hanebado.

Material Puzzle

A boy goes looking for the legendary magicians who can save his village from a giant fungus, but he finds more than he bargained for.

I don't think I've ever seen Sup Forums discuss this one. Honestly the currently publishing black clover seems to have "stolen" a lot of ideas from this series which is a battle shounen that never got discussed much in the west. 20 volumes but only 9 chapters translated.

...

>have "stolen" a lot of ideas

Such as...?

i used to fap to this one

>good PR team
We are talking about fucking manga, not indie rock. Jeezus.
That just sounds like a poor excuse.
Good manga will bubble up eventually.
Look at Dungeon Meshi.
Look at Kaguya Wants To Be Confessed To.
If something fails to get attention by the time it almost reaches the end, chances are, it's not that good.
Sometimes, shit is rightfully unknown simply because it's shit.

>sometimes

Sup Forums simply doesn't discuss manga much in general. Sorry but it's true.

Because we all know the good series are the ones that can pander the most to casuals.

Yeah its relatively easy to find out about currently releasing manga that have an interesting plot

Was that always the case though????? ?
